So, all of you wining and crying:) i do not have any planetology skils on my 4 alts:) none, not even planetology 1:)), but i do have one main that has 5/5, so in window mode i position myself on a hot spot with the 5/5, then do the same with no skils, ang gues what, i got dubble the production:)
So there u have it .

Well, I certainly don't have it. Are you saying that you are getting double production because you are using 2 toons? If thats the case then I say, duh. Or are you saying that the no skill toon is getting double the production compared to the skilled one? If so that makes no sense. Or are you saying that you are in general getting double production from both toons after the patch? If thats so then I can only conclude that you had no idea how to use the old system.

No, what he's saying is that the hotspot display is so disconnected from actual extraction it really doesn't matter whether you have the skills or not. This has been my experience as well. I barely bother any more - a quick shuffle of the heads and install it. It really doesn't matter anyway.
The old system may have been tedious, but the new one is so random as to be malicious.

I make enough with lv4 without the need for lv5 and still have leftover reserves. I'm making fuel for a POS, and the only fees I pay are when I launch the goods.
Having the ability to change what you extract plus change the schematics means you can really balance your pi production a lot better and more precisely tailor it to your needs.
It really depends on how you set everything up and how often you are willing to adjust links, extractor heads, storage etc.
Also now with less clicking I can manage my planets in less time while warping between gates, or killing BS rats. Win win!

I was saying that i have 1 toon for scouting, 5planetology/5adv.plan, and the rest benefit form this one, like in window mode, i put them one aside the other, and one tells me exactly where the hot spot is, while the other just installs it.
And from now on only the colony moves, the launch pad stays put. And at the end, like 3 days in production i destroy 1 basic industy, and i put a really long line to the launch pad, that is it.
End of story a lot of cheap movement due to hot spot disappearing.
