About 1 year ago, a promising young cadet from an industrial corporation whose name I shall not utter here, decided to break off from the mother corp and wander off alone into the great unknown. Deciding that his ventures should take him into wormhole space, he laid the cornerstone of his new, small corporation in a class 3 wormhole. Days passed, weeks eventually, the small corp thrived. New members approached and joined the ranks. It all seemed to go well. One fine morning, the cadet, now an established captain of his small corp, received a mail from a 0.0 entity to join up with them and claim some space in a region close to cloud ring / syndicate area. A small desolate patch of space, yet it seemed like a noble endevour. Taking down his modules and ordering a full retreat to empire, the captain started to dismantle the towers. His goods were brought safely to empire, his corp members were safe as well. EVE was good to him. Unfortunately, just as his faction tower was about to unanchor, a transport ship uncloaked, bringing with him a small, yet for the captain alone, an overwhelming force of ships. They killed the poor captain and STOLE his tower. The captain, now a broken man with no hope or money, returned alone to empire space, his head lowered in shame. He made a promise on this day to take vengeance on his executioners. He knew that was the only way for him to redeem his honor and be justified by his clan of manufacturers. He proclaimed a personal jihad against his offenders and, with his only clue which was the alliance name ARKAI, went off to look for them. All he wanted was to make some isk and have a pint or two with his corpies. Enjoy EVE space to its fullest. And now all he sought was justice. A pound of flesh in return. An eye for an eye. Nothing more. (does the story ring any bells?) 1 year BEFORE: Arkai stole - large caldari tower - approx. 400m 1 year AFTER: Arkai paid their dues - approx. 3b (400m + interest) Justice has been served! One: It might have been a corp in the alliance that did this but you should take revenge on that corp especially since they are no longer in the alliance. Two: Do you see the numbers above? $400 million taken, $3 billion taken. Interest? If it was compounded monthly then it would need to be about a 114% interest. If compounded yearly, it would have to be about a 750% interest. No one, but no one has any interest rates anywhere near that high. Alliances are fully responsible for the actions of their member corps. You work with asshats, you will be treated as such. Like the way the OP dealt with this. and btw sniper...if he had taken only 400m 1. that would be sad seeing as he made nothing for all the ffort and planning, 2. 400m will affect you alot less than it affected him before,3b for a alliance is NOTHING compared to 400m for a newish character.
