It is like several incursions a day are eliminated, and spread so thin that this content is hardly reachable for many.
Any thoughts?

Agreed. They were definitely too hard before, but now they're just ridiculously easy. It's meant to be a damn challenge and probably not for newbs to hop into in their t1 fitted merlins and rifters. ------------- Fatality

Edited by: Cambarus on 31/01/2011 17:50:21 CCP was talking about leaving the recharge rate as it is now, but lowering the effect clearing each incursion site has on the sansha control of the area. I imagine that's how it's going to get done, at least I hope so, I think the last highsec incursion only lasted like 6 hours >_>
EDIT:CCP did NOT change the incursion sites themselves. They only lowered the rate at which sansha reclaim the space they're invading. The actual sites in the incursion are no easier now than they were before, and I say this having run them on sisi before they even went live + having run them since the first one spawned. |

It doesn't really feel like the difficulty changed much, but I'm thinking all the whiners who warped their T3/Mararuders in Vanguard sites solo have long since died and cried themselves out of EVE.
...Then when you stopped to think about it. All you really said was Lalala. |

Edited by: Goose99 on 31/01/2011 17:54:52 Nullsec incursions are not getting beat back as is. Buffing them won't help. What we need to do is attaching steep penalty to them, like stop moo goo production for the duration, and sansha destroying all infrastructure/upgrades if incursion is not defeated.

putting incursions in only low/null will mean almost no one will use the content.

I remember seeing a player complain about his drake getting 4-shotted.
"This is bull! They shouldn't 4 shot my drake!"

Incursions need to be limited to empire space. 0.0 residents farm npc's to create isk to fund their PvP. 0.0 incursions are too annoying for their meager rewards, what with the SC BPO drop being limited to low sec.
If there is some 'story' reason for incursions to happen in 0.0 (which is doubtful) then perhaps some reward drops need to be added to create a reason for the locals to care. Here's a possible list of the drops: blueprints for all those devices/modules that allow Sansha to open wormholes, cyno-jam systems without on-lining anything, interrupt jb operation without on-lining anything, produce system-wide nerfs, and other stuff. ...

Lol, yes, that's exactly why sov-null incursions need to have consequences. If an incursion stops moo goo, destroy infrastructure/upgrades if not defeated, you farmers would actually do them.
Highsec carebears do them without rewards. We need to make it so you sov-null carebears would also do it without rewards.

yeah I've seen that a few times.
I've also seen "WTF my drake lasted 3-5 seconds"
when I'm filtering through people X'ing for fleet I get them to link their fit, usually its 2x EM 2x Thermal
in which case I point out the torpedo bombers will probably volley them. and they should fit omni-resistances.
we were also short 1 player for vangaurds, and this prophecy undocked where we had our fleet idling so we invite him
Once in the mission we notice hes got railguns etc.
got him to post his fit, hes got t1 platings and a gyrostab instead of a magstab :<
the raw ammount of pure-fail is astonishing.
In the last hi-sec incursion the first 5 of the top 9 contributor list were from our fleet.

+1 for more incursions....only two active atm seems kinda.....well lets just say I want some more psycho space zombies please. would be really cool if they kinda like re-spawned in a somewhat reasonable fashion......but wait a day, thats just mean even for eve. Anything worth doing, is worth over doing. |

Incursions are PvE endgame content. High-sec residents do them for fun.
Null-sec residents do PvP for fun (emergent, unscripted,... you know).
If CCP wants to fix 0.0 then it needs to iterate on sovereignty mechanics, local intel, logistics, etc. Disrupting PvP endgame with scripted PvE content is the wrong thing to do. To put it lightly. ...

Thats the reason I've decided to forget about them... trying to get into a decent fleet that isn't mixed or fail tank is impossible.

yup the low sec ones are full of fail, high sec the respawn is about right .... if they respawn within an hour of being beaten back not just a dt respawn ( then it becomes about timezone benefits which ccp put everything else on dynamic replacement)
