Oh well, i suppose i'll just have to keep an eye on this log of events then... by the way, how did your meeting last night go?
You would do best to stay far away from their ilk. No good will come of it.
Sani Sabik are perfectly fine to associate with. It's easy for most people to stay true to their personal code or honor, and still engage with others of differing beliefs. Now, if you're easily swayed or naive... yeah, best to steer clear of them in my opinion. They can be very persuasive.

*snorts* and would you know what i believe? For all anyone knows, i could be partial to the Sani Sabik faith myself, and just not the kind of person who makes a big deal of it.
(as it stands i'm not, but they do have some doctrines that seem wise to me. Theres even a part of me that wants to shout BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD and find the nearest one of their corps that is recruiting to join up with.) -------------- Who are you? What do you want? You know Revan, for all of my cantankerous nonsense and goading, I have always wanted to attend one of your events. I am always simply so afraid to discuss the teaching of Paragyn, the similarities between Ocilan and Jamyl, and the various takes on the Sani Sabik from a Baatsu-Achura point of view that I feel I am excluded by default. I feel too political.
Some of my greatest friends and enemies associate with you and yours. Tell me. How can an old man be assured his throat will not be cut the second he questions or frightens your flock?

Boma Airaken? Now thereÆs a name IÆve not seen in a very long time.
If youÆll accept some advice from an old friend, I would suggest exercising a little more caution in your approach to the Shiras. You must remember that whilst she is usually happy to answer questions of our faith, attempts to æfrighten her flockÆ would be most unwise.

Edited by: Revan Neferis on 15/02/2011 12:51:52 Greetings
Updates here has been delayed due to the massive workload and attention that my current event is demanding of me. On top of having one of the fiercest hot blooded gallente as a lover, suffice to say sleep is overdue but there is no rest for the wicked so lets get into the business here: Opera.
Last Sunday the Opera has been shaken to its very core. What has unfolded there within its walls and before the eyes of those who were blessed or cursed to be there with us that night, is not for public perusal for it would shock the faint of heart. - which comprises pretty much 99% of all capsuleers reading IGS-. As such, details will remain within the halls of the Opera.
Suffice to say that for the first time in history of my Faith, I have been pushed to exercise principles of my faith that I prefer not to, extreme actions that have burnt the sensitive eyes of those who witnessed it and cut so deep that hearts of those directly affected are bleeding now for an eternity to come.
May that night be remembered for good and for bad. So it is to delve into the Sani Sabik faith, we dwell in heaven and hell, we deny nothing of what the Universe is. Pain and pleasure extremes, Sanity and madness, nothing less. We, of Sani Sabik never experience life if not on its fullest. No evil, no good, just causes and consequences and Power to assure that the Will of the stronger will always prevail.
This said, the Opera had two days of closed doors to recover from the impact of that night. Now, the hall is again purified and we will proceed with our weekly meetings as usual.
For this coming week we will again, skip an agenda in favor of another special occasion. Piles of requests for Initiations into the Sani Sabik faith has been sent to me these past weeks and has been somehow neglected due to my impossible agenda of late. But I'm a lover, a banker, a business woman and the Sovereign of my faith and therefore duties of my religion shall not be postponed any longer.
Those seeking Initiations into my faith shall be granted access to the Opera this Sunday where I'll take the opportunity to see if you're fit to serve me and my faith and to answer questions you might have before steeping forward.
A few things are obvious to many but maybe I should let it clear again so if you come to me, you won't waste my time with obvious , self-evident questions.
* Corporation. No, you can not join my Corporation. This is my private Order and I jump from my Banking, Business and Religious Temple, join and leave alliances for business matters as I see fit. I simply detest invasions into my private space so don't infuriate me by asking this question at the Opera.
With that in mind, obviously you won't be requested to leave your corporation or alliance to be an Initiated of my Order, much to the contrary: our strength relays on the fact we have eyes and power everywhere to be applied. It's the core of our banking system of favors, it's the core of where our influence and isk dictates the moves of several masterpieces in New Eden. So no, you don't need to leave. I want you right there, where you are.
* Blood No, we are not the least driven by the tales of bloodsucking insanity that is very common amidst other sects of our faith. I have a different interpretation of the Holy Apocrypha and I strongly believe that Blood is a sacred substance used by our Order for ritualistic and scientific matters only. So if you come with some strange genetic anomalies on your teeth or bringing a bottle of anything else but a good Amarrian vodka and the most expensive liquors to my halls, I'll kick you out of my sight and most likely fix for you to be executed a few times before you can even remember why. So spare me and spare yourself of this kind of display.
Further questions will be answered at the Opera.

I recall you well enough, Boma, and with high regard. From what I recall of your manner, you're no more annoying than some of our regular guests. The Shiras will normally let it be known if you're bothering her...
It's only if you persist after that point that things need become messy. If youÆre concerned about her reputation, do as I do. Show her the greatest respect in your correspondence with her and she will prove to be a most gracious host. Those that converse with her, believing that they are of equal stature, are usually the first to falter.

"cantankerous nonsense and goading" that actually made me smile. I remember little else from you but trolling, non-sense, bickering and unconstructive comments to my activites during the years past so you will understand as why I'm not really sure what to make of this statement of yours. Either way, my Prathet Tigerfish seem to know you so I'll exchange a few words with him.

The Midnight Opera meeting tonight is cancelled to public as I've decided to indulge myself the pleasure of the company of some of the Finalists on my Top Model event for a relaxing celebratory evening.
Access will be blocked to all but those I invite personally.
Initiations to the Order are postponed till the end of the event as communicated to each of you personally.

With the closing of the Top model event, The Opera activities will be returning to its meetings.
Agenda of this Sunday is slightest modified to accomodate the first 6 Initiations into the Order of Sani Sabik. The remaining 5 will be postponed still for sake of time and the new requests arriving will be set in line. In due time, I'll get back to each of you.
Myself and the Crowned Prince of my Order will start Initiations at 21:00 pm, both at the Opera and the catacombs. You'll be summoned one by one, and you have the right to bring one single witness to your initiation. You shall come before me in a single black robe. Here, the gross must pass through fire; the fine be tried in intellect, and the lofty chosen ones in the highest. Thus we have star and star, system and system; let not one know well the other!.
Initiations will take about 20- 30 minutes each so I expect the Opera to be open again to guest list at 22:30 more or less.

Important Notice regarding this Sunday's meeting
As it has been requested, the Opera will accept and re-open to some of it's oldest members too. Due to the extreme differences between our old and newest membership, I have decided to open the Opera for the 2 classes of members in different times.
Newst members are welcome to remain at the Midnight Opera Lounge, as you are already familiar with. Oldest members are welcome to join me at the Private backdoor room for more specific approaches following old traditions.
Theme this weekend will be: The Art of Diplomacy. A few notes on that for those who have forgotten how we proceed: When opinions are sort or offered on a wide range of subjects, it is important that their delivery through our communication Vrs does not purposely offend other members. Everyone has and is entitled to an opinion. Those opinions are obviously backed by extremely diverse environmental, cultural, social, economic, biological, educational, spiritual and experiential exposures to Life. To cater for these open sharingÆs between us all, we need to ensure that we observe some rather strict protocol standards to be sure this remains an enlightening experience for all. We do not want to foster petty bickering; arguments which denigrate into slanging matches; rudeness; or disrespect toward any member of the Opera. This is not a place for ôIÆm Right and You are Wrongö remarks. Blaming also serves no one. Heckling; making disparaging cultural, sexual or other remarks may mean that you will be disabled from the group - and possibly disabled from the whole Opera access.
Good debate brings forth many innovative ideas to contemplate in quiet repose. Humor and great Wit is always encouraged and enjoyed. It would be interesting to see - 25% of time spent exposing the problem. 75% of time spent finding the solution and then implementing it.
Indeed, we are the elite of Sani Sabik and it is using our fine hearts and minds to implement needed change which could see our finest work in this arena.
Private info regarding opening times for both rooms will be sent to each of you.
Welcome.

Always a pleasure to have you with us my dearest friend Pharuan. This weekend's reservations are completely full but I'd be honored of you would join us at the next opportunity to share a glass of wine and catch up with the past as we have done so many times.

Not knowing if I am on the guestlist I still like to have the audacity to presume I am.
Having said that I will also simply state that my place of admission is not for sale. I wonder who even might consider they have enough Isk to place against the company of our dear Lady Neferis and think they can actually beat her company by offering some mere Isk.

It's funny, Mr Gandry. I find myself watching as people fight over something that I took for granted... This will be the first event that I've ever missed at the Midnight Opera.
If you'll take some advice from me, my young friend, you're in favour with the Lady Neferis. Hold on to it and never take it for granted as I once did.

Good enough that the shadow of presence from 6000 miles removed brings more pleasure than yours does from half a city block away. I can't imagine how much that little fact hurts the delicate ego monsieur. Must be positively emasculating.

Alright...
Alain, the only advice I could give you now is, take the next shuttle out of space and return to your familiar grounds. You know you don't belong here. And about your proposal, it's nothing I haven't heard before and again, I repeat in capital letters: I'm not interested. If you could be so kind to take my NOto the heart, perhaps we would find a better way to future communications. Coming to space after me and exchanging hurtful words with my lover isn't doing you any good either. And any further remarks or comments to this matter, you're welcome to do it looking into my eyes. Not more emasculating than bragging about giving pleasure to a woman from 6000 miles away using a defective clone. Makes one wonder what that can make to one's ego.
