Say you're alliancees 0.0 space. You just bought a new faction Battleship and faction fitted it. Then you figure, since your alliance is NAP'd with half of eve and your region hasn't seen a red in 2 years, might as well go look for officers spawns in the closest -1.0 asteroid belts. You rat in the belts for 30 minutes and all seems normal. Suddenly, the system turns green and a bunch of sansha ships show up in your belt. Your armor and DPS become half of their former glory. Your ship quickly goes POP!
Is this how it works?
EDIT: TL:DR - do incursions suddenly pop up or is there a warning?

I don't believe that the reduction in resists is instant since they have different stages of the incursions. But I'm not 100% sure on this.

After downtime your constellation will turn green when an incursion hits. This is your cue to break out the buffer tanked raven and gang up with your mates to knock the incursion out of your area.

low and null only imo, but have AP direct all the highsec bears to stage from some highsec system or something so they can form their pugs for lowsec

So to clarify: Down Time triggers Incursions. They dont suddenly start and ambush anyone ratting in the system..?

Oh well, dynamic appearances sure had potential to fighting macro programs.

Would be useless unless it was deliberate. Realistically it'd just be another thing that ****es off real players and doesn't affect botters in the slightest.
Getting blowed up randomly without warning is so much fun right?
Oh yeah, about my sig... you have now read it.

tbh the belts rats shouldn't really be a massive concern unless you are ratting in a af or something. a faction fitted bs would have no trouble dealing with them providing it had a couple of drones for the smaller ones.
I think it's a real shame to not have dynamic incursions but i guess they are constrained to a certain extent in what they can do.
have to say as much as it is encouraging a wow like aspect to this game there was a lack of group pve and from what i've seen of it so far it's not too bad. most certainly isn't just a massive faceroll party like lvl 4 missions.
