Khanid Kingdom/Querious Border - A2-V27
Khanid Coalition Forces, after nearly a week of sieging operations against the Outpost in A2-V27, have at last penetrated the outer defenses of the station.
More than 130 Capsuleer vessels with capital support have set up a secured perimeter, and marines are now entering the formerly IT-owned facility.
Updates will follow as boarding teams engage any remaining internal station defenses and personnel.
Praise be to God. Praise be to Khanid. Praise be to Kador. In Their names we conquer.

In responce to a certain comment. It is folly to attack an enemy at his strengths and no intelligent commander would order such an assault, god may guide us, but I am not sure wether he will bless us simply running into the fire.
That said I am proud of our allies and their forces, today saw a lot of fleets running about and securing khanid nullsec. It is our hope to bring the Light of Amarr to all those who have been living in darkness, by enforcing this Mandate of the Heavens we shall cleanse Amarrian and Khanid Nullsec of the warlords who intend to oppress innocents and condemn them to living in darkness.
However that said I must congratulate one of our enemies, Nulli Secunda launched a daring assault and dropped a capital fleet on one of our small forces hitting the outpost. After which point... they began to fire on the station themselves in an attempt to snatch control of the system. It was a daring move and would have worked if not for my fleet arriving from deeper in querious to reinforce our valiant forces. Our comrades in Atlas and Cascade were with us every step of the way, and their fleets were never far away, the threat of their power and our own forces dominating local forced the forces of the outlaws to break off allowing us to take the station.
I would like to thank our brothers in arms for staying nearby, and our brave troops who are rounding up the last of the station personal. By all that is holy, I shall see to it that none of those barbaric fiends survive the night for the crimes they have commited against humanity.
Praise be to god, our glorious heir and empress and his imperial majesty.

Some words of advice, don't trust Atlas, having dealt with them in the drone regions and in deltorid, one thing has always remained true. If they find a better deal or a better alliance they will take it. Even if it means stabbing their friends in the back.

A little birdie told me that Nulli Secunda are going to try and take a patch of Querious for themselves after IT finishes dying. It would be unfortunate if they got chased down and humiliated further as a result of that information getting out.

What motivation is there to do this? If one presupposes that the goal of concentrated warfare against an opponent is to win that conflict, then I can see no benefit to allowing the opponent choice of battlefield or situation. If you're worried about something so outmoded and utterly irrelevant to warfare as decency or honor, then you should stay out of warfare entirely. |

My prediction is this, given what I know and having watched this play out many times before. IT loses fountain, holds at the edge at Y-2, cynojams the other side. They then turn around and look at Querios, and BIQ's stint there ends after being booted back into Amarr lowsec.
I had pondered offering business to jump my stuff out of IT stations in delve, but I sincerely doubt you'll get that far without a spy pulling the plug again. I was in T-mofa when it happened the first time. |

I see what you're trying to say: that the taking of A2- is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, and that it can easily be retaken. That is true. And if you want take the long view of history, you could just sum it up with "some things in space will be destroyed, and more things in space will be constructed to replace them". In the grand scheme of the cosmos, nothing any of us does is truly significant or lasting. You can't really use the irrelevance of any entity or its actions, in space or otherwise, as an argument against its significance or lasting virtue of its presence, unless you are also willing to admit your own irrelevance. I'm certainly willing to do that; but, I take everything I do in life very lightly, and I am willing to wager that you and yours would be a lot more worked-up about being made to see your own irrelevance. I'd caution you to shy away from that road, for it is wrought with sharp peril just waiting to burst fragile egos. |

Does it matter who I am, or what I've done to make such a prediction? My time in the pod says I have had the time to watch and understand the dynamics of warfare on the gala-political level. If you were to truly dig into my history, you'd see I've had the opportunity to be both blue and hostile to IT, and the same for their enemies respectively.
I think, if anything, my opinion above is pretty fair and rather neutral.
Oh, and that A2- borders empire (khanid space) cannot possibly have anything to do with this... *sarcasm* --

I won't pretend to know what nerve I struck in you, but it seems you are very quick to dismiss my words and jump on your soap box. I did not call you or anyone else irrelevant; I, in fact, alleged that the "irrelevant" argument--which we are all now fully aware you violently oppose--is facetious and not useful when discussing the affairs of human beings on a galactic scale. Now that we have established that we both dislike hearing people use that argument, would you like to comment on my statements? Alternately, you can continue to crow to the crowd from atop your soap box and I'm sure you'll earn a few heckles from the peanut gallery for your effort.

Edited by: Aiwha on 02/02/2011 02:47:22 It took Atlasdot, Cascade Imminent, and AAA to dislodge us from our territory, opening up A2 for your forces, and even then we still almost held the line. You're dealing with powerful free space entities, that most likely don't give a damn about your cause. Remember that.

*The holo-feed opens, your viewpoint that of a remote camera drone flying through the interior of the A2-V27 station*
The still-smoldering wreckage of several ground vehicles can be seen below. Laser scorches scar the decking in several locations, as the shattered remains of blast-doors and hastily erected barricades complete the view.
Newly-Hung Banners displaying the family seals of House Khanid and House Kador are proudly hanging in the main pedestrian thoroughfares, while armed Black Inquisition troops patrol below.
The Camera drone pans down to the main docking bay:
((Appropriate Music Here))
Several Impel-Class Transport ships fill the majority of the space, with docking ramps extending in all directions.
A multitude of people are now visible, cued and being led into the transports. Armed Guards with black KPV uniforms can be seen amongst them, silent but ever-watchful. The people are mostly men, but also large numbers of women, children, and wounded. All are being lead into the transports, along with dozens of large freight containers.
The camera drone rises to a stage overlooking the scene, coming to rest above the shoulders of Vitalia and several Inquisition officers, who turn to face an assembly of ground troops. Silas addresses the troops directly.
"Greetings to all, children of Athra!! We strive and we sacrifice, in His name. We die, and we fight, in HIS name. Why? For our faith is unrelenting! Our faith is unyeilding! and today our faith has been rewarded! We claim what is rightfully ours, through force of arms. What we have conquered today is but a small piece of a much larger effort.... our push to expand the reclaiming has been launched, and the Godless heathens have been given a setback, for now."
Silas turns again to the camera and gestures to the transports below:
"Spoils won in this conflict, both material and human. are being sent back to Kingdom and Kador space. Our enemies have been pushed back, yet still have much strength in them....we aim to bleed these systems dry of all available resources for as long as we are able, Lord willing."
"We will show the rest of New Eden there is still strength amongst God's chosen people!
"Praise be to God!"

Also thanks to all the diplo's who have been working to hard to create a political framework from which we could launch these attacks

Our standings with various entities are generally private for obvious reasons. As spoon has stated our diplomats have been working tirelessly in this area for some time to establish the necessary political framework for this to be effective. I would ask that you check the map in a few weeks as things start to settle down.

Could you explain the "obvious reasons" behind this privacy? Most organizations of which I am aware in nullsec tend to keep their lists of enemies and friends fairly public, as this makes it easier to find more like-minded friends. It also sometimes assists in recruitment to your cause, as many individual pilots or entire alliances may have a particular bone to pick with one of your enemies or blindly assume you're an alright lot due to your friendship with one of your already-existent allies.
With you getting your toes wet in The Big Game you will want to become aware of how the game works out here in the wild depths of space and leave behind preconceived notions, as many of them simply do not work and can be used against you. You are a small entity. No amount of platitudes about faith or honor or loyalty will make you any bigger or meaner than you are, or stop a determined enemy from ruining the experience of your pilots should they decide to focus on you. Your first order of business will be to make friends and prove yourself useful to them so that they have a reason to want to help you remain autonomous and functional. Pride such that it prevents you from bending to the accepted ways of doing things out here will go shortly before you are descended upon by truly terrible enemies (and that's just our posting! You can't imagine how inept we are in space).

This would make sense, given what answers I've received from certain entities regarding standings and the coalition in Querious. Once you're aware of certain things, an interesting little puzzle - and, indeed an interesting little map of what has been going on unfolds.
On an unrelated note, the next week or so will be very interesting to watch on the socio-political level, not everything is OK, it seems on either side. --
