Question about the Ore Industrial Skill and the Noctis. What is the effect if I train to Ore Industrial to more then L1? Do I get more cargo area? Is it more manueverable? Or is the skill just a simple L1 dead end skill?

OK Thanks. I knew there were bpnuses but couldn't find them in the client item info.
I wish CCP would improve the descriptions of items in the Info Window. Would make things much simpler and woiuld cut down on forum traffic a bit.

O_o The info window does have that information.
If you meant that it should be listed on the skill, then you immediately run into the problem that a skill can give vastly different bonuses depending on what that skill is being applied to. Each ship, for instance, gives a different bonus based on the same skill and it would just be a mess if those were listed in the skill description instead. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Sometimes you also have to read the description of the item the skill is used for. In this case the description of the Noctis.
As a rule of thumb: If the skill itself is giving you the bonus, you have to read the description of the skill. If the skill is just a prerequisite for something else and not doing anything by itself, you have to read the description of the corresponding item.

"Skill at operating ORE industrial ships. Can not be trained on Trial Accounts." This is the only description that is in the ORE Industrial item description. There is no description of what bonuses or benefits it has when applied. Thats what I was speaking of. The ship itself has the bonuses listed but not the skill itself.

And that's because it can't really be listed there since it's the ship that gives you the bonuses.
Consider the case of Caldari Cruisers. Like all ship skills, it says "Skill at operating Caldari cruisers."
To do what you're asking for, it would have to say:
15% bonus to ECM Target Jammer strength per level and 10% bonus to ECM Target Jammer optimal range and falloff per level for Blackbirds. 5% bonus Kinetic Missile Damage and 10% bonus to Light, Heavy Assault and Heavy Missile Velocity per level for Caracals. 5% bonus Kinetic Missile Damage and 10% bonus to Missile Velocity per level for Caracal Navy Issues. 10% bonus to Medium Hybrid Turret optimal range and 5% bonus to shield resistance per level for Moas. 0% bonus to mining laser yield and 10% reduction in Shield Transport capacitor use per level for Ospreys. 5% bonus to Assault, Heavy Assault and Heavy Missile Launcher rate of fire and 10% bonus to Heavy Assault and Heavy Missile velocity per level for Osprey Navy Issues. 5% shield resistance per level for Gilas. 5% bonus to Medium Energy Turret damage per level for Phantasms. 5% bonus to Kinetic Missile damage and 10% bonus to Missile velocity per level for Cerberi. 10% bonus to Medium Hybrid Turret optimal range per level and 5% bonus to shield resistances per level for Eagles. 5% bonus to kinetic missile damage and 5% bonus to shield resistances per level for Onyxes. 150% bonus to Shield Transport and Energy Transfer Array range and 20% bonus to Shield Maintenance Bot transfer amount per level for Basilisks. 5% Bonus to Medium Hybrid Damage Per Level and 10% Bonus to ECM Target Jammer capacitor use per level for Falcons. 5% Bonus to Heavy and Heavy Assault Missile Launcher Rate of Fire per level and 10% Bonus to ECM Target Jammer capacitor use per level for Rooks.
That would be a mess. Instead, each ship that uses the skill lists how the skill is used for that particular ship. I suppose what they could do is have a "provides bonuses for" tab that lists all these ships, but having the bonuses on the skill description itself doesn't work all that well. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |
