Hi,
Who has the best navy crystals in their LP stores? - The Amarr Who has the best navy projectile ammo? - The Matar Who has the best navy missiles? - The Caldari
And, who has the best navy hybrid ammo? - The Caldari and the Gallente.
Fix it! Choose 1 of the options bellow:
1- Buff FEDERATION navy hybrid ammo for Gallente!! 2- Nerf CALDARI navy hybrid ammo for Caldari!!

I would BOOST Fed Navy Damage. Since they are undisputed master of blasters and drones.
I would also BOOST Caldari Navy optimal range. Because the Caldari use Railguns, too. |

Whatever....just make them different! Favouring Damage for Gallente makes perfect sense. |

Why do you care? They both specialize in hybrids for a good portion of their ships. If caldari ammo got a range boost, ccp would have to do something about on-grid combat probing, and sniper bs for it to be useful.
The last thing blaster boats need is more dps. |

When have you last seen Blaster Boats used in Fleet Doctrines?
What do you care, you probably never see them in your space in Nullsec,
Oh wait you don't have any space anymore. |

No. Exhibit A: Fed Navy Blasters Exhibit B: Fed Navy Rails Exhibit C: Cal Navy Rails
It appears the Caldari don't offer blasters, so i don't see a problem. If anything, you're asking for more drawbacks that will put you right back at Void where you belonged in the first place. |

The fix is to give minmatar some navy missiles/rockets. And then maybe give the Amarr (or at least khanid navy - yes, indeed, I want khanid navy rockets) some navy rockets.
I don't have an issue with two factions offering identical faction ammo, if they have a significant amount of ships that use such ammo.
The problem is that most races use at least two weapon systems:
Caldari- missiles/hybrids Matari- Projectiles/ missiles
Amarr - Lasers/ .... uhh a little bit of missiles and a little bit of drones Gallente - Hybrids/drones
Matari and Caldari can slap navy ammo into their weapon system on any ship for a 15% DPS boost Amarr can do pretty much the same since the vast majority use lasers
Gallente... what is a drone boat to do? I guess its OK since T2 drones have no drawbacks unlike T2 ammo (which is why faction close range ammo is often preferred over T2 close range ammo) ... but they also don't have any major strength unlike T2 ammo. Certainly not load faction drones that are 5 mill a piece.
- Also, somewhat related, an Amarr drawback - gankers will load just enough faction ammo to get them the kill, not even a full magazine for their guns... amarr don't have that option - on your destroyer, you must load 8 faction crystals.... cost nearly 4 mill (depending on the local market) I suppose you could try finding heavily damaged crystals in contracts at cheap prices... |

Fed Navy ammo is already superior on all accounts
Anything with the words "Federation Navy" and "Gallente" has secret modifiers that will result in glorious victories over everything else.

You have managed to completely miss the real, looming, far more important issue, which is by total coincidence a pet issue of mine:
Blood and Sansha crystals are inferior in all respects to Imperial Navy crystals. They have nothing going for them at all. Imperial Navy crystals you can grind up from LP in highsec; the inferior Blood and Sansha crystals you must grind up from LP in NPC nullsec.
Differentiating bonuses might be extra cap use bonues for Blood crystals and tracking bonuses for Sansha crystals. |

I am talking about ammo guys! i didn't even said that i wanted a boost to fed navy ammo...it works also if you nerf the caldari one a bit!

Would be nice if Caldari ammo specialized in kinetic damage and Federation ammo specialized in thermal damage. |

If you look at faction railguns the Caldari Navy railgun has more range and less fitting than the tech 2, the gallente doesn't offer anything over tech 2 sadly.
Gallente should have more damage or tracking on their guns for faction. |

Yea... I've noticed that (though you ignore the drops, but I'm not sure how significant they are), what you do have are 2 types of pirate faction ammo, +10% and +20%, whereas empire ammo is simply +15%.
For crystals, we could do some interesting things: the +10% variety does not wear out, while the +20% does - perhaps then they would then not be offered for just LP and ISK, but would only come from drops, or perhaps using some tags. They wouldn't be consumables anymore, just like faction modules and guns aren't. Without a tag limit, or coming only from drops, the worry is that everyone would use them as the market floods (while normal infinite use t1 crystals are consumed to make T2 and faction crystals, or simply reprocessed). The +20%s would be offered in the stores. So people would still likely use navy of 2nd tier pirate ammo for more DPS rather than infinite use +10% crystals Or maybe it would be better if these +10% crystal just lasted 3x as long as +15% navy crystals
For the other ammo, what if the +10% ammo had half the volume of the normal ammo? You can now fire 2x as much before reloading, carry twice as much ammo in your cargo, etc. Come in with 5,000 rounds of AM, leave with 10,000 rounds of +10% gurista AM (so the ammo is essentially half price too)

Yes! Later i discussed this with XG and yes...this could be probably the best solution...fed ammo higher thermal damage, caldari ammo higher kinetic damage! they will be unique to each faction, they will still give the same types of damage but have a boost in the specific damage of both races...i know that caldari will cry over this because they already have the best kinetic damage ammo ( missiles ) but it just makes sense |
