This little gem from the notes for the forthcoming patch.
"Bookmarks in non-accepted missions or completed deadspace areas should no longer work."
Am I to believe this means that once a deadspace location despawns, your bookmark to that location, will no longer work ?
I hope i've mis-read this.
Some clarification please.

Well there's only 2 reasons I can think for this..
1. To stop pirates camping deadspace mission spots (presuming the deadspace spots are generated in the same place all the time). I've not heard of this happening though
2. To stop people being able to collect loot with a frigate and MWD after completing deadspace missions.
Both of these reasons imo are unnecessary nerfs so there must be another reason we don't know about.

Well, although it is a bit unfortunate, it makes sense from a point of roleplaying and gameworld consistency. A deadspace pocket is a deadspace pocket and stays a deadspace pocket, either you can use MWD in that section of space or not.
Besides, you can still run missions in your slow, tanked ship, then warp out and return with a small, fast (AB/overdrive) ship to pick up loot, just have to do it while the mission is still active.

Not everything has to make sense but everything should be fun.
On the longer missions it still takes ages to collect the loot in an Indy after mission completion - over an hour in some of them. With regards to collecting the loot while the mission is live, have you not noticed that some deadspace mission stages respawn? It's going to make something that's awkward even more aggravating. You don't need a small fast ship just one with masses of cargospace and a moderate speed. This is the first alteration that CCP have ever done that I don't see the logic behind. It just seems petty.

Ah, sorry. I just can't think of any that would come from BM'ing in instanced dungeons. Still, other folk are more inventive than me.

You are having a laugh right? - we have to discuss this ITS A MAJOR CHANGE - it will completely change the way I look at missions, this is being talked about in this forum, and the main forum, WHY? because it is messing with stuff too much
It is your game to mess with, that I do not deny, and maybe I am just having a bad day, but this is one thing I never saw being changed, it just seemed to make sense, not i a true role playing sense, but as a nod towards the players - do these missions and you get your rewards (Rubbish loot )
If you were joking then sorry

Sounds like we are back to collecting everything....and dumping what BS (not battleship) we don't want ....for items we do want.... Guess its time to decrease the M3 weight of rogue drone drops....those suck up cargo space faster than anything...
Only thing I can think of is...have a buddy/mate pick up cans in the gate area you have worked prior....
After mission completion....Split the loot ...

Well gang warp should work after the next patch so loot collecting should be easier.

I'm not joking, but you probably misunderstood me
1. I'm not saying that you couldn't discuss the bookmark changes, I just removed some posts with too detailed speculations how these bookmarks could be used to exploit complexes and deadspace missions.
2. It's "my game" as much as it is "your game". If you are not aware, we moderators are normal players, volunteering some of our free time to keep the forums in order.
If you think anything moderating I did was wrong, or should have been handled different/better, please mail [email protected]. This email is read and answered by the lead moderators and CCP community representatives, aka, my bosses and the bosses of my bosses

I am not having a pop at you at all, if you are a volunteer I applaud you - anyone who is as dedicated as yourself and the following moderators deserve praise and not derision.
My post was a general swipe at the fact I do not agree with the change to Deadspace BMs - but I should of just shrugged my shoulders and accepted it, moaning in the long run does no good.
My time is limited these days on EVE, I love the game but love my family more hence the fact I no longer play as long as I would like, I have to try and make as much ISK any way in game I can to fund the more fun aspects of the game, something that affects my game time like this upsets me - that is all.
I will not be reporting anything you have done - YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG, I am not in a position after 3 months of play to disrespect older and more dedicated players - however I am free to voice my opinions and I misunderstood your post - I admit that freely
Apologies - however if the removal of BMs affects me as I expect it too I stand by my original comments, which are that it is an awful change

erm, just BM a can once you have finished popping the rats, then go back complete the mission, and return to the now not deadspace to collect yuor loot. Everything else disappears, but the cans DO remain.
Starsi dont make Eve Pilots, but if they did, i wouldnt be one of them. |

Don't think that will work. I think they will basically have certain co-ordinates where you can't drop a bookmark on anything. This must mean that deadspace pockets appear in the same place all the time then :(
Incidentally, since the patch where all bookmarks outside of certain bounds got changed, I've experienced a hell of a time opening cans with bookmarks in. I'm guessing Eve is checking each bm before they are displayed to me for validity. Please don't **** this up too CCP by doing a double check for deadspace missions too. (read: double lag.). It's bad enough playing from China as it is.

Can anybody verify if this still works with the new patch? ------------------------------------So many skills, so little time... |

The issue has now been clarified by CCP - the patch notes were only meant for complexes, bookmarking loot cans in deadspace missions to collect them later should still work.

That is brilliant - thanks so much for the update, on the other main forum message about this I have apologised for jumping the gun and not testing this on the test server - however time is precious, anyway I digress - Thanks
