Or, considering it's null and you might die, use a t2 fit pulse geddon which works quite well.

Surely you have intel channels and locals?
If you're doing sanctums I'd suggest using tachyons rather than pulses. Unlike the paladin you have no use of placing them within 40km, meaning the tachyons will outperform the pulses on any distance greater than some 30km. Also, you won't need the damage control, a tracking enhancer will help you noticably - especially if you decide to go with pulses anyway.
The remaining highs are perfect for a probe launcher and a tractor beam. Parrots, commence!

You are kidding, right? The guys doing sanctums all day, especially in faction ships, never watch intel and get hot dropped on a regular basis.

Funny, I've ran my fair share of anomalies, in ships valued many times more than the suggested nightmare which are also alot harder to get out of the anomaly, and yet not ever been ambushed.
Just because you can't spot them on your killboard or getting flamed in your random chat, doesn't mean they don't exist. Not to mention if they're running sanctums all day the cost of the ship won't be an issue regardless. Parrots, commence!

You are likely smarter than the guys we ridicule on our killboards.
Edit: also depends on where you are. Like if you are deep in safe ally space it's a lot easier. I still only ever use T2. Us girls just don't go for the epeen I guess ;)

If you get hotdropped doing a plex/anom you completely fail at eve. If you hotdrop a single BS doing a sanctum you fail at eve.
Faction ships with faction gear are more common in 0.0 than they are in empire. And it safer to fly one in your own sov space ( typically) than it is in empire.
I find a baddon to work quite well for carebearing. Triple sinks and pulses 1074 dps @ 15 km , 890 @ 45 KM.
I have never been a fan of the nightmare. It is over glorified and overpriced. Tracking with tachs suck unless you fit a bunch of tracking mods or you keep range on everything. Tachs are for sniping. If you want to kill stuff at short to med ranges you fit pulses.
I run anoms in a baddon all the time. Why spend 2 bil on a ship to make isk when you can do it just as well in a 200-250 mil isk ship?

I don't understand the faction fit anomaly ship at all. You can tank them with T2, so I don't really get it...

For tanking, no, there's no point. For gank? More isk in means less time in the anomalies means less risk even if you're not paying attention to intel and local.
Reason I prefer nightmare over abaddon is simply that I have to pay less attention to the ship at hand. Ignoring tank you can get a very similiar performance out of an abaddon, but if at all possible to survive it's going to take alot of attention. All in all the cost difference is somewhat neglectable considering the task at hand. Parrots, commence!

"People" or some unbrained ones, keep saying high sec missioning or other activity is 0 risk and all profit (they forget to add "small" after profit) compared with low/null... Keep belinving this people

I daresay profit from sanctums is directly comparable to missions. Breaking the 100 mil/hour bar on highsec missions isn't that hard, and there's much less factors to consider. For sanctums there may not be to many friendlies nor hostiles in the area or the figure quickly diminishes. The saving factor is pretty much the escalations or I'd say anomalies are in fact worse than missions. Parrots, commence!

I used a Thanatos and a Machariel tag team in Guristas sanctums for months and months. Never got caught once, nor even came close.
You'd have to be an idiot to get caught. A logoffski/logonski trap might get you though, but you just have to be cautious, and if you're watching local anyway it's pretty obvious when everyone's simultaneous disappearance coincides with loads of people going red in your address book.

Well in defense of the 'no risk' people. If you watch local constantly, stay aligned, and warp out whenever a non friendly comes in you're only real risk is that a tackler rat frigate will hold you down right when you need to warp. Tackler frigates de pretty quick.
First problem is if you get bored and stop paying enough attention.
Second problem is if a hostile camps the system your isk per hour figures plummet unlike highsec missions.
