What is it about the torpedoes used by NPC's that allow them to hit from 60/70 km where as even with good skills I can only get them to hit at 33 km.

The NPCs didn't get the memo from CCP that the torp mechanics were changed (torps mechanics used to be like the NPC torps... but they were 'balanced' and made 'short range' as 'intended') _______________________

NPCs cheat, you know.
They don't run out of energy, immune to all forms of Electronic Warfare and the worst is that they have warp drives that break locks.
I wish I had a warp drive that would break someone's lock when I started warping.

Actually sleepers and sansha can be nullified with ECM.

ECM works fine on all rats. I have tested this personally after seeing this argued on the forums endless times. Missions, belt rats, Sleepers, Sansha....they can all be jammed.

My skills in shooting stuff are rather 'inadequate', but I can reach out about 50km with my torpedoes, 60-70 easy if I were to rig my ship for it. You're doing it wrong.

With a stealth bomber, sure. With anything else, not really. A Golem gets about 40 km practical range on normal torps with max skills and T2 rigs. The Typhoon is quite a bit lower. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |
