Dude did you see the guys face? He burnt the candle at both ends then injected it straight into the brainstem.
Some good 80s music, back in the 80s.

Erm... actually, Gary Moore's "interesting" facial features were the result of a glassing in a pub many moons ago. I believe it was the standard "you lookin' at my bird?" scenario.
I didn't know the guy personally so I can't give you chapter and verse on his drug and alcohol intake, but rumour has it he liked a beer now and again, but that's hardly Trainspotting now is it.

Nah, that was actually what I was getting at, he had the face of a heavy drinker, possible meth habit as well but people who knew him said he didn't do drugs so I won't speculate.
Just saying with a habit putting dead weight on your body life expectancy takes a dive.
Beer vs turning 100, I think I'd go with beer too.

Well done mate.

Weird choises of music/arrangements at times, but few could match the feeling and energy the guy spat out from his sixstrings. Great inspirational source, if nothing else, and he deserves to be held in the highest regard among guitarists at the very least.
RIP - I'd tell you why but then I'll have to kill you. And to kill you I'd have to log in. And to log in I'd have to stop browsing these forums. Both you and me knows that'll never happen. |

Won't be an understatement to say I grew up listening to his music.
Rest in peace, Mr. Moore.

No kidding! No idea how old you are but watching all of these artist's die that inspired me growing up and hearing their music playing on 'classic' stations really makes me feel old. May he rest in peace.

Not fair really (remember Douglas Adams - 49).
R.I.P., my favourite guitar player ...
How to PVP: 1. buy ISK with GTCs, 2. fit cloak, learn aggro mechanics, 3. buy second account for metagaming

Gosh, I remember seeing Moore supporting Ian Gillan with his G-Force about 20 odd years ago or perhaps nearer to 30...
There goes another good guitarist. I would like to think that he and Rory G are having a jam session in the afterlife.
