Just what it says, I am training covert ops and logistics at the moment.

It depends on what meta of warfare you wish to do... small gang work? AHAC gangs? Frigates? Huge blobs?
The command ship is always good. The skills required for that really benefit the bonuses you give as fleet booster. Definitely worth aiming for IMO.
Otherwise, a BC would be fine to run 1 to 3 links on, especially the drake.

Edited by: Lili Lu on 06/02/2011 22:19:19 OP, you chose wisely. FCs can always use covert scouts/probers (with low skills you can scout, but a proficient scan probe pilot is worth his weight in gold) and logistics. Of course for logis it depends on the rest of the fleet whether you want to be in a shield or armor logi. And of the four logis the Basilisk is the least used, but not impossible to fit into a fleet.
Another ship type that is always needed no matter what type fleet is a dictor. Heavy dictors are welcomoe most times too, but not as universally useful as a regular dictor. A double bubble and/or cloaking dictor is the pinacle of sexy.
Command ships are also a good bet, but you need to have wing 5 in addition to maxing the command skills in order to be worth using in a large fleet fight. That is a lot of training. Unless or until you get that training done, a dictor, cov ops, or appropriate logi will guarantee that you will be useful and welcome in a fleet. |

Yep, those are the two that are always in demand. Go for it.

If you can fly a Scimitar and a Guardian, you will always have a fleet invite.

TBH as long as you only shoot the primary, don't jump when instructed not to, and broadcast for reps instead of shouting for them... you'll be invited:)

I'd leave the boosting to the unprobeable alts and focus on other stuff, tbh.

2 things:
1) Drake 2) Armor RR BS sniper
Basically core of any blob
Anything else - is just finesse and is about to be primaried and popped in any larger battle.

1. Maelstroms are the new Drakes. 2. RRBS died with the rise of stealth bombers. Sniper setups died with the probing changes.

lies! dirty dirty lies! pick a ship you like, fly it well and you will be wanted! dam, fly a tec 1 frig well and a decent FC wont say no!
you can take battleships on BC roams if you want to risk it (nano phoon anyone) logi is loved ewar (theres a reason people hate them so much, be ready to ask for reps) inti pilots are in demand (scouts, tackle, anti-tackle, etc) cruiser roams are FUN dictors are needed. <- full stop cov-ops can be a really big pain in the ass to the other fleet, bombing runs enough said (dont underestimate void, and lockbreakers have saved fleets when things turn sour) also scouts beware the battle badger!!
every ship has its place in a fleet if your intuitive enough... even if its just to make everyone laugh and keep morale up
