On one hand: hahaha
On the other: ... who are all those people, where do they spawn from? Is that what overdosing on too much Jesus looks like?

Another true story: Tom Araya (Slayer's singer / bass player) is actually a Catholic. But he's open minded about it, and declares in interviews to not mind to sing whatever anti-Christian lyrics Kerry and Jeff may come up with.

Old video but it still makes me laugh even now...especially when Araya goes into that banshee wail of his at the beginning and it looks like everyone's moshing.
Saw Slayer twice in one week a few years ago. The show is incredibly scripted, but they still kick ass live.

He is a smart guy that respects others views. Plus my bet is that he also believes that the lyrics come from an antagonistic place and not from true belief. But I could be wrong on both points

I myself have also been privileged to see them more then a few time, but all in the later years. I get the feeling that has been their MO for a long while if not from the start.
Originally by: Bob Larson Everything Slayer did appeared contrived, even their on-stage banter. During the next few days, I would learn that every comment of Slayer was canned. Night after night, they did the same introductions to song. Nothing was spontaneous(the devil isn't spontaneous so his children won't be either). Even Araya's(lead singer) right eyelid, which arched slightly when he said "Satan," looked like it had been choreographed. Every note of every riff, every scowl was the same, on cue, at the right bar."

I would not recommend buying this guy's book that I quoted the above from but it is not ironic that he found the same thing from traveling with Slayer for awhile in the late 80's.
