Recently some friends in the North managed to beat(for you naysayers, blobbed to death) a PL gang, and with them went down their very skilled FC.
I've been looking over their fittings, and while I can figure out how most of them work, I'm at a loss as to exactly everything on Shadoo's ship is used for(i'm pretty sure he's a tackler though, that i have figured out).
I'm especially puzzled about the smartbombs.
Not playing very much due to RL issues, and being pretty much a noob, I try to keep myself up to date with everything going on in warfare, but this means I constantly have to bug my friends who HAVE time to play this game with questions about how gangs work and such.

It's basically like an uber-tanked Arazu/Lachesis.
One of the subsystems he was using (friction extension whatever thingy) gives point range bonus, so he was maximizing his ability to do that with multiple points.
He had a huge buffer to try to keep stuff tackled as long as possible without getting killed.
The smartbombs, I presume, were there to blow up any ECM drones that people would sic on him to try to break tackle.
The railguns were there cuz...well, they fit...and they show up on killmails.
He wasn't there to provide significant damage, just keep tackle on stuff.

I know killmails are pretty much guaranteed to have damage errors in them, but do you think he got one-volleyed there? Or they took him out in a couple of them?
I know this much from fleet warfare, usually targeting the enemy's t3 tacklers is a really bad idea due to their high buffer and logistics.

Didn't PL logoffski from this fight? Maybe Shadoo got popped while logged out. Also, KM shows 45% damage total.
