I'm in Caldari High Sec space. Will I be able to take a drake out? I'm ignoring skill points and I'm aware that I have to be careful of older chars that have maxed out their combat skills.
Are standard battle ships fitted out in PVE fits ideal targets for Phantams PVP.
MY fit
2x Heavy Sansha pulse 1x heavy pulse II 1x small neut
1x microwarp 1x elctro chemical cap booster 2x Invul field II 1x Large shield extender II 1x warp disrupt
2x Heat sink II 1x over drive (faction)
rigs: field extender I x 2 EM resist - plugging the massive sansha EM hole
My optimum firing is 20km and my kiting speed is 1.2km/s 3x warrior I
What ships am I going to be super affective against and what are my main weaknesses and which ships should I have serious reservations against attacking?

Youre using 2 lows to boost the dps of a single high? doesnt look too efficient to me. I don't know the phantasm, but where is your dps?

I have 3x High level weapons and 2X Heat sinks. Sorry am I missing something important?
I took my fit off battleclinic and modified it slightly by removing a damage control in favour of an over drive to build a slightly higher speed to keep me orbiting my targets at a 20km fast orbit.
I think the overdrive will offer better tank than the 10% DCU but I may be wrong.

Please fit 3 Heavy Pulse Laser II, or 3 Focused Pulse II if your fitting skills aren't up to it. You want to be able to use Scorch on all your guns.
Nothing wrong with the mids, and I can understand your choice of the overdrive instead of the DCU, but you should fit the rigs with 1 T2 EM, and 2 T1 polycarbs. You need speed and agility.
All the EHP in the World cannot save you if you're not fast and agile in a faction cruiser. This is why everyone uses a Cynabal and only the brave or foolish use a Vigilant.

Goes 1850 without overheat (all V, no implants or gangboost), with Snakes, Zor, CMD boost etc it goes 4000+ overheated. At which point you can burn away from anything that can kill you, and kill anything that can keep up.

Phantasm is useless in PVP. Ship has immense capacitor issues, is not particularly fast, has low base HP (thanks for that btw ccp), doesn't have the fitting to make use of the two utility highslots, and doesn't have a full dronebay. Its a cool looking ship, so you can pull it out for fancy KM whoring and the like, but in actual serious combat, its just a liability. A proper drake will kill your phantasm without batting an eye.
Sell it, buy a few harbingers until you learn how to fit and fly your ships. Faction lasers are beyond useless in pvp (scorch is mandatory), and not fitting a DC to a faction cruiser is suicide.

I've got that same ship and the only use I've found was for lvl 1-3 missions. How is the nightmare one of the best ships in the game and the cruiser version one of the worst, I'd never know.

While CCPs decision to nerft it was idiotic, its far from useless. The rest of your post shows your ineptitude in PVP as well. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2HS+nano phantasm with 1 poly and 2 CDFEs, compared to a Vaga with 2gyro/DC/2TE and 2 CDFE rigs... The Phantasm has a decent DPS advantage between about 15 and 25km (at 22.5km, 420 dps on phantasm to 330 on Vaga), has only 2k more EHP, and is like 900 m/s slower :(
I think I'd probably fly the Vaga unless I had snakes - 1600 m/s is too close to hurricane speed for me imo. ________________

Sansha ships need a buff methinks.
But how? Better shield tank turns them into pseudo-guristas ships. More speed? They need something more.
My rifter can get similar stats, if shield tanked, to a succubus with a web. Pretty pathetic.

I love this ship, however I do feel it is lacking compared to the other pirate faction ships, and is very cap dependent but with a friend or some bonuses in system it can be a very scary thing to run across.
Here is my current fit, the single LSE II didn't offer enough staying power during most normal fights I ran across, so I tried a lol 3x extender fit and have had some real luck with it. Lets face it, you will not get a 1 vs 1 unless you pre-arrange it flying a pirate ship around!
