Can make plenty of different styled white folk, couple blacks, and 3 different types of asians... but arabic/persian are completely SOL?

Using Butar char, you can maker your toon look fairly Arabic specially Indian with a few of the hair styles available.

Make a tan white guy or a light black guy and add a beard. Bam you have something akin to the tan and beared looks of those of arabic/persian decent.

the reason is because those folk would not be sure in what direction that special place is so they wouldn't know what way to pray in space. so they just didn't go.

Actually a special council created guidelines for that a few years ago, so it's no longer an issue.

I thought the Amarrians were supposed to be Arabic. In the Dominion trailer, the Absolution pilot was speaking with an Arabic accent.

You can do much much more than I though originally, but asia minor and southwester asia (and idia) are pretty hard.
A major problem is that some of the looks straddle different factions and bloodlines and you have no choice to change them to get where you want to go.
Brutor is the most flexible but the lips stay too wide if the mouth is wide . Another hair style or two with coarser looking hair... perhaps with a lower hair line (not some limp hair hanging as bangs) would help span a lot more looks too.
I think poorer south americans (a bilion people or so) with more native , and some african heritage and less eurpean heritage, are pretty hard too.
But, if you were able to switch factions and bloodlines, and swung to some far extremes on features, you can do a lot more than 95% of people starting the game and approaching the editor would imagine..or chance on finding.

1) Those characters just wind up hitting the self-destruct button anyway.
2) They would just wind up wearing hoodies and so their face wouldnt be seen anyway.

I can guarantee there is no way to make an authentic looking Arab/Persian in EvE Online's Carbon Character Creator.
I'm Persian. My family is Persian. I know what Persians look like. Nobody in EvE looks like a Persian. Not one.
Amarrians have the nose, but that's about it.

Try working with the Khanid bloodline. I got some pretty nice "Middle Eastern" results (though, Cyrus here could also be mistaken for Native American... oh well).

You can't see them anyway, when we get to see the lower parts of your avatar we may as well get skirts and dresses too, actually I think it's highy probable.
While on the other hand there's no indictaion that we'll get different skin, hair, racial options in the character creator. I agree we need more options!

Ships don't run on oil any more (not sure about the minmatar ones), so the arabs are poor now and can't afford a spaceship.
No wait... I'd say some of the amarr bloodlines look quite arabic. So maybe some ships do run on oil.
