London global internet hub is having hiccups.
It even knocked my cable TV modem out and I was both without EVE and television for half an hour.

Since November 2009, we have been plagued by a SQL Server crash bug. Around March 2010 we found a workaround that makes the issue rarely happen, but we still, infrequently, experience it. I devblogged about it at the time.
The problem lies in the TCP stack in Windows, not SQL Server itself, however, the bug seems to only be triggered on SQL Servers with certain kinds of workloads. The good news is that Microsoft has issued hotfixes for the problem now and we've rolled them out to our test servers, aiming for deployment of those fixes on TQ next week, provided testing does not show any problems. ---- Senior Virtual World Database Administrator Virtual World Operations CCP Games |

"As soon as the first failover happened, we, per our policy, opened up a support case with the vendor regarding the incident, since our logs, surprisingly, showed nothing." They didnt find anything, the "Vendor" found the bug

May just be co-incidence, but I'm having serious issues getting Eve to run since this morning :(
Keep getting the message below;
"Your EVE client installation may have modified, damaged or corrupt files. Please run repair.exe located in the EVE game directory or re-install the game client. Verification failed: 'c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\eve online\bin\Microsoft.VC80.CRT\msvcp80.dll', rcr:4f4907 ce, expected:54a4e329.
I've run the repair tool to no effect, it completes in 4 secs.
Have my mice died somehow?? what means 'isk per hour' anyway...? |
