If the Eagle is MWD¦d and he will stand outside web range of the deimos it can propably beat the deimos but if he comes in web range hes dead.
Damage output on a Deimos is awesome.

As long as you can keep the range distance theres not a lot the Deimos is going to be able to do :/

This match up should be a stand off, the eagle would (try to) warp out if the diemos gets below optimal, while the diemos wouldnt engage if it didnt fancy its chances to get to optimal.
up close Diemos > Eagle
at range Eagle > Diemos

tbh i dont understand the deimos hysteria thats going on. k great damage so what? you need to be at <-2km, thus bering vounreble to nos/neutralisers/webs ect. You will get more kills in a zealot or eagle. ps i love my deimos :P

Fly a deimos myself - if eagle pilot has any brains it'll be a draw. I'd try and make it to range but if it wasn't happening I'd warp out. Eagle pilot should do the same if I do look like I'm going to make it.

1 vs. 1, the Deimos will obliterate the Eagle. Every. Single. Time. This is true of almost any of the HACs, assuming that one doesn't warp out on the other. The only HAC that can stand toe to toe with a Deimos is a Zealot, and that's only if the Zealot gets in the first few shots. This isn't speculation. We've tested it over and over ourselves. The Sacrelidge can hold a Deimos at bay, but it can't kill one easily if at all. Usually it's a draw.

Yes. We have several pilots in the Deimos and one of them put some T2 250 rails on it. I believe he was getting an optimal range of 31km with AM ammo loaded and it made for one heck of a frigate sniper! Of course, the Eagle is in all ways superior in this respect.
Comparing these two ships is kind of silly as they have completely different tactical roles. If you wanna sniper for frigs and other ships, load up the Eagle and watch the pods come out. Watch Leafo's last video for a good example of this setup. He's a Caldari freak and won't shut up about the sniping ability of the Eagle. 
However, the Deimos is the ultimate close support ship. Alone it's scary enough, but we've had six in a formation at once and that pretty much spells a quick death for even a trio of battleships.
Imagine being this poor bastard: Six HAC's 4 teh win!
HACs are the new vehicles of choice for Empire warfare.

Deimos is a pure Gankship.
If your skills are good you can easily kill a lonely BS.
Take care from NOS and Ravens, you will beat the rest.

Just my thought (I cant fly ether of those ships)
If an eagle and a diemos face each other and have the below modules fitted, would the eagle not win?
1) Fleeting propulsion inhibitor 1
2) Fleeting warp scrambler 1
The range in this case would be 10km

in my opinion the eagle is the best HAC out there
i fly it 2 months now , and that beast is an amazing warmachine.
btw dont listen to the braindead people wich are saying that eagle is crap.
