video card: Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family total available memory: 358mb

My laptop it's an acer travelmate 7720, not ideal for gaming but I would really like to use it for some basic activities in eve.
Anything I could do?

T5750, intel GM965 series (X3100) graphics, 4 gigs ram, eve runs, but sometimes crashes, especially when i open many ingame windows. But it is still playable (10-20 fps on lowest settings).
What's your OS?

Without a proper graphics card installed you're bound to experience crashes. Otherwise the machine will run EVE fine as long as you stick to "basic activities".

Well, for what it's worth my newest machine - which is a Dell XPS 1530 and runs EVE great most of the time - has been experiencing some random CTD's since the last update ...
At this point in time - I can't relate any specific cause or connection to the CTD's ... I've just noticed that they have been happening ...
By way of comparison I've got a:
CPU - Intel Core2 Duo CPU - T9500 @ 2.6 GHz RAM - 4.00 GB OS - 32 bit Vista Ultimate SP 2 Video - NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
Ironically ... my older system which is a:
CPU - Intel 2.53 GHz P4 RAM - 1.5 GB OS - XP SP 3 Vid - ATI Radeon HD 3850 AGP
hasn't been experiencing any CTD's ... so I don't know what to say about that.
On the newer system the CTD's have not been that frequent - it's just more frequent than pretty much none - which is what it was before. Now there have been about 3 - which isn't that bad.
One came while running 5 accounts but the other two came while running one or two.
*shrug*
If you're experiencing frequent CTD's - where you were getting none before this update - the problem is probably NOT with your system - but with EVE - especially if others are having CTD's more frequently too.
As a general principle - you might think about adding some more RAM - but there's probably not a lot that can be done for a laptop other than that.
As far as contributing to the solution of this problem though - write a bug report and let CCP know what's happening in detail. If the problem is on their end - they'll have to fix it.

Running EVE with,
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7100 @ 1.80GHz RAM 2.00GB
Video Card 965GM On Arch Linux 2.6.37 x64 with latest Wine .13 No issues here, with 17fps in station and around 5-10fps in space, would be better if the texure rendering would not be done on my CPU cause of sucky intel drivers.
