I need a new laptop before my old one melts. And I am hoping for some recomendations.
Estimated budget is 15000 NOK ($2500 for non norwegians). Need to be 17" at least. I am happy with a movable computer, does not need to be slim or such. I just want power. The ASUS G73SW 17.3 was my starting point last week until my online shops decided to not carry them all of a sudden.
Not intending to go all out on this, as I got a new desktop in the pipeline soon as I get my new appartment ready, but I will consider ohter prices if "its worth it".
What is eveos fav gaming laptops? I need inspiration

Hp Envy is quite powerful and pretty slim, not as slim as apple, but got better hardware. The price is quite high, not sure about the price for it in Norway, but in Denmark its around 16000 Dkk (around 2900$)

Hmm, I got real bad experience with HP tho, that they are generally crappy and fail often. Not sure I am convinced that they can make any good products

Hm. Well, I prefer a stationary over a laptop for gaming so I would go for that at this point. |

Same here, but I already got a pretty decent desktop. I need the laptop when I am out travelling or visiting frinds and what not
No reson not to have the best of both worlds |

TBH, just use the one you have until it reaches critical mass and kills everyone in the room.
What model is it though? |

My old one is actually a Dell XPS 1530. The heating on it is horrible. I need external heating on it to even have remotely useful operating temperature. I heard Asus was better in this department

That was my initial idea as well, but local stores only have the G73JW, and I wanted the SW, but the SW was suddenly gone form the shops...
