We need the ability to have advertising corps done in game!
For this to be reasonable, it would need to be a type of auction system per week to keep it in line with War Dec costs. Main trade hubs could hold several billboards around the stations, with control run through the nearest station.
The images on the boards would have to have several different images, such as the ones made using the Corporation Icon system, plus maybe the choice of putting a player avatar's face on the board (Or even different images of Ore, Ships, etc!)
This has so much potential! People fighting using money for control of boards around space! The only trouble is the size of bill boards should be scaled to have a price associated with it as well. Normal sized billboards with a price of 100k isk/week, bigger size for 1M isk/week or almost titan size for 50M/week!

I support this. Good isk sink for the economy as well.
What about seeding billboard BPOs that could be anchored in nullsec where you hold Sov as well?
I'd love to see a couple "No Trespassing" signs, or "Abandon hope, all ye who enter here" as I roam through enemy territory.

agreed, also move them closer to the gates, as you don't really see them much now what with the warp to 0.
