Good day, I wanted to try and generate some traffic to a forum post I made so I put a link to it in my character's Bio. The weird thing is, the link works perfectly when I first linkify the text, but when I close my Bio and reopen it, the link changes and sends people to the main forums page instead.
Is there a character limit on how long URLs can be? Or could this be a bug of sorts?

There is a char limit in the Bio. Using special text and links etc count for even more.
It appears that your link is getting cutoff. You may try reverting the first line to normal text and recreate the link.

Hey Kaar, thanks for the response. I tried as you suggested and reverted everything to normal text, but the link continues to get cut off. I also tried deleting all the text and just linkifying a single word, but to no avail. It still gets cut off. I will file a bug report or a petition to see if they can take a look at it.
Thanks a bunch. ____________________________________________ Check out my proposal to change the wallet! |

Jon,
If you look at eve forum links, you will see they are very long. For example, this thread's link is extremely long:
http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1468580
You might want to use a URL shortening service, such as tinyurl to make the link shorter.
For example, this link is to this thread, too:
http://tinyurl.com/4f7g3qh
This uses far fewer characters and may be able to help you to save some space.

You may want to link instead to a blog about the post. Plenty of people use tinyurl but plenty don't use obfuscated links.
