This thread is pure gold. I was laughing throughout the entire all of text the OP posted, then when I saw the moderator's comment I think I peed myelf a little. Everyone should read this, it demonstrates exactly why I love the moderators and really anyone who works for CCP here. |

That's a very bitter retort.
I've found the moderators to be very good balancers between humour and professionalism, old school and new.
The only time I've seen that anyone could even vaguely argue that a moderator was powertripping was when the player-base were so fantastically rude (and jelly) that the only valid response had to be from a position of authority.
That's not douchbaggery folks; thats the job at hand.
We should make their lives easier - I've been around this community for 9 years; we are rabble.
Less then some places, but damn ... |

CCP Devs are indeed gudpoasters, and it looks like ISDs have also got their game together now. Moderation is reasonable and justified after the slight mistakes some of them made in the very beginning.
I especially like their contributions in the noob section, where their answers are thorough and facts are straight.
