Yes. They can jump OUT of highsec, just not INTO. The real limitation is where you can light the cyno. It can't be lit in highsec, but can be in lowsec/0.0.

it would be cool if this caused some sort of minor shield damage to all ships within a km of the jump freighter.. some sort of wave gravity distortion effect! |

errr, no. Imagine a mass jump-out at jita 4-4, killing ships in hi-sec without any repercussions. |

yeahhhhh.. i like it!
ok. how about a spool up timer on jump freighters while in empire, and everyone withing 2km gets a proximity alert? |

...even guys just exiting the station, huh?
Anyway, taking the chance so this thread becomes real silly, I wonder: can Capital ships navigate through gates? I mean, how did the Freighter get INTO Jita?

Freighters can travel through gates and so can JF's logically, there not really capital ships. ________________________________________________

Jump Freighters are the only capital ship that can use normal stargates as well as their own jump drive. So for example you can jump from your 0.0 home to a lowsec system near Jita, take gates to Jita and then when you are going back jump right to 0.0 from Jita undock.

Oh THX, I was a bit confused about wether JF were capitals or not.

Lies, nobody would ever do such an outrageously silly thing!

Covert JB is awesome. Especially when there are tons of ships on grid. Local usually goes nuts.
