Edited by: Perseo Aidheron on 16/02/2011 23:06:50 Edited by: Perseo Aidheron on 16/02/2011 23:05:19 Hey im new here is the thing, i was doing the military chain quest and in one of the missions a serpentis offers me to join their cause, right now i only have this char im posting with but i was thinking i could create a new char and turn it into an evil clone of some sort i was thinking i could run missions for the evil guys like angel cartel and so. Now before i waste my time finding them pirates i have some questions:
1-Do pirate have low level agents like the normal 1.0 space starting agents so you can start form level 1 with them.
2-Can i just run into a pirate station and start doing missions with them being a completely new char(cause i was thinking of creating that new char and run directly into 0.0 space skiping all the career agent starting missions).
3-Where would i buy training skills ships and everything else in 0.0 space
4-How do you find Pirate run stations in EvE, you open the Map you set 0.0 space in the security so you know where to go and what then? i remember you could see in the map the agents available at any system by just hovering those little dots in the map how do you do this?

Most pirate factions only has agents in 0.0 security space. Thukker Tribe is one of the few "pirate" corps that has agents in high security space.
You can work for level 1 agents with 0 or negative quality right away, without having any standings, your only concern might be the lack of skills to hold your own in 0.0 space.
Alot of people go back to empire space to get skills and supplies for their 0.0 operations. If you want to live in 0.0 space I would recommend you join a player alliance.
To find an agent, go to map (F10), Star map > Stars > My information > My available agents. Systems with agents will highligt. Mouse-over to see more information.
If you want to search specifically for agents of a pirate corporation I can recommend www.eve-agents.com
Good luck :)

Answers: 1- Yes
2- Yes
3- Guess that would depend on the Regional Market. One option is since you already have a high security character, that character can buy the items for your 0.0 character and either contract, haul or trade them to your 0.0 char. Another option is to get friendly with the local population in the 0.0 system you decided to mission in and ask them. More than likely the market belongs to the Alliance that's in control and you'd probably have to join the player corp represented there.
4- Can open 'People and Places, select Faction and type in specific Pirate type such as 'Serpentis' and select 'search'. Click 'show info' on the Faction listed - 'member corps' tab - click 'show info' on specific corp - 'settled systems' tab to view locations and 'Agents' tab to find available agents.
There's a lot of info and Guides in Evelopedia.
The Career Agent missions are great in the fact that they give a good jumpstart to play this game such as basic skillbooks, ships, etc.
Good luck and welcome to Eve

Edited by: Tzar''rim on 17/02/2011 08:47:00 Just making sure all angles are covered: Being evil in EVE isn't just about "roleplaying" an interaction with NPC's, as in so many other MMO's. EVE the game is BUILT on people being evil, psychopathic fcks. Here you're perfectly allowed to blow people up, ransom them (and if you want to, still blown them up. Personal ruleset), mess with them, scam them, gaining people's trust and then strip them of their assets and many more evil, evil things. There's hardly any official rules on this and only a few are not allowed by CCP;
- don't attack true newbies in newbie systems - don't impersonate people hoping to fool others - don't mess with character sale scams - no racism or RL threats (edited for clarity) - don't use exploits
That really is it, all the rest is perfectly allowed. So if you kill someone and he goes "I have a friend who works at CCP and he'll get you BANNED" just laugh and taunt/kill the idiot some more. If he actually goes "I'll find where you live and rip you to pieces" then YOU petition him and he'll be in trouble, just for extra fun. Here in EVE we don't DO politically correctness where you have to officially denounce any evil treat you might have and want to indulge in :)

Out of game threats are fine, just no irl threats in-game

Concepts such as good and evil don't really have a place in Eve.
There's a lot of moral ambiguity and all of the factions have both a dark side and some redeeming features.
That's one of the good things about the backstory.
Dulce et decorum est pro imperium mori.

Might not be painfully obvious - but will be if you do it wrong in-game. In player controlled space, you most likely will not be able to dock at stations if you are not "blue" to the corporation/alliance owning it. Don't buy stuff from a station unless you know for certain that you are able to dock.
NPC null is your best bet if you are not friendly with the current rulers.

Thukker aren't really pirates imo, and neither are Khanid, ORE, Sisters of EVE, Mordu's Legion or Interbus, they're more seperate entities that actually are connected with one or more empire factions.
The "real" pirate factions (Serpentis, Sansha's Nation, Guristas Pirates, Angel Cartel,The Blood Raider Covenant) only live in low- and nullsec. They're also the only seperate factions that have their own faction ship rewards, for example.
If you want to do missions for them, look for locations at www.eve-agents.com. It can be pretty dangerous living outside empire space and your standings with empire factions will drop quite fast, it's definitely not the easy way of playing!
