Made this playlist for you guys. No big deal, just opening, manipulating, and closing 95 tabs, one at a time. Enjoy.

And for you non-linkification users: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=6FED08605BEA2A4A _____ ^ That is a sig line. It should be there without me having to put one in. |

Edited by: Mina Sulva''r on 19/02/2011 21:33:24 Now do take this the wrong way...
But about damn time!!!
Seriously though, thanks. Why CCP couldnt label those when they were released in a competent way... I had a very hard time following the matches and knowing which ones played next.
I'm even going to go so far and ask, would you pretty please do that this year when CCP releases the videos.
And thanks again, it was those tournament videos that got me back into playing Eve after four years of being away. (CCP you should give this guy something, because what he did was no easy task, and he shouldnt have had to do it to begin with)

I'd like to thank my parents... But only my Dad, for supporting me through the hard times, and my lovely wife, for existing at some point in the future.
Seriously, though, it wasn't that much trouble, my mind kinda lends itself to doing stuff like this. I'll certainly do this for AT9, and if you can find me the orders the matches were played in in AT7, I'll do that to. I'm not interested in any earlier ones, though, sorry. _____ ^ That is a sig line. It should be there without me having to put one in. |

Unless I'm missing something extra here, there's a sticky thread in this forum named "Alliance Tournament on YouTube - The Playlists", which includes links to the playlists of tournament 8 and 7. Which seem to display the same list, in the same order, with the same playing options as this list.
I'm honestly curious because YouTube can act a bit oddly with playlists but is there any difference between our official playlist and yours?
For reference the tournament 8 playlist as posted in thee sticky thread. --------- Formally known as CCP Charlie Video Producer |

It appears that I'm blind.
However, mine is missing the studio prefight sections. I'd call t intentional, if I had the forethought, as I'm not keen on said portions, but this entire debacle is just me failing to see said sticky.
In my defence, I did search for it on youtube, but didn't find anything. (And my description is better.) :3 _____ ^ That is a sig line. It should be there without me having to put one in. |

You have my full respect for making the playlist :), it's already a pain when your account owns the videos I can't imagine how long it took you to do it yourself!
Unfortunately playlists on YouTube aren't great at the moment, it's a struggle to navigate through the channel and find the playlist in the format linked above. --------- Formally known as CCP Charlie Video Producer |

Loxy if I can make a suggestion. Can you lable the videos this time around with a different format. One of the big problems I had last year when I was trying to view the matches was that they didnt list in what order they happened in. It was easy to figure out the first few, but because some later matches were uploaded before some earlier ones I couldnt figure out which came next a lot of times. And I ended up watching most of the matches out of sequence.
So instead of titling the videos like this -
"Eve Online - AT8 Day 1 - Agony Empire v HYDRA RELOADED"
How about doing it this way -
"Eve Online - AT8, Day 2, Match 3 - Manifest Destiny. v RAZOR Alliance"
Thats like a "Holy **** that just makes too much sense!" moment. If for whatever reason YouTube jumbles up the order (which it often does), we the viewer can still figure out what match was next.

I generally name my sh*t like this anyway, but with a prepension, so they don't get messed up in windows. I have the GSL somewhere, where I have them named "xxx Round of yy zzzz [R] vs [S] mmmm.mkv". Like: "001 Round of 64 Leenockf0u [Z] vs [P] oGsMC.mkv", if the very first game was a Zerg vs Protoss.

I've made a note. The video files themselves are named along those lines already, the YouTube titles are a bit shorter just to make the name tidier and not take up half the screen . --------- Formally known as CCP Charlie Video Producer |

Edited by: Xyfu on 11/03/2011 13:40:04 You're taking notes? AWESOME ok here we go!
-Never let Brianna Tempest near a microphone ever again. -Hire Tasteless and Artosis the casting Archon -Failing that, get your current commentators to do homework by watching Tastosis casts -Teach the observer about Alt+Clicking -Hire SirRonLeonhart (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Cyoq99rWPI) -Allow spectators (0m/s ship with no fittings and 250k lock range, muted in local) -Developing further on that, you could prolly get people to pay a PLEX for a season pass, and you'd get a lot of visitors. I'd come. -Smoother openings to matches; list of ship types in order from biggest to smallest, then a small summary: "Widow Widow Scorpion Rook Rook Rook Griffin - I'd say we're gonna see some ECM." "Hurricane Hurricane Hurricane Brutix Oneiros Daredevil Daredevil Taranis - The majority of the damage on this team is very vulnerable to bombers, given their size, so they've brought some small fast high-damage ships to account for that." -Developing further on THAT, maybe a little background on the teams. "We have here Pandemic Legion, a large space-holding alliance from the north, and 3 time winner of Alliance tournaments." "I can see Tyrrax Thork, infamous for his Iteron based setups, which almost invariably lose."
