night life getting worse every day in istanbul.
hours ago i had a rl fight at the nightclub with security. the reason was: ' i cant let you in alone. u need to find a girl ' ( actually im the one of oldest customer and all the time im coming with a ladies and that guy know that but some EGO problems of him, lead us the fight.
we lock each other. tackled on collars, swinged some punchs but separated by people around.
no real damage..
worst thing is i enjoyed with that adrenalin.
my question is: hows nightlife going on your country? do you have that kinda issues? (no lady no enter)
edit: sorry for grammar.

... and by "nightclub" do you mean "swingers' club"? That's the only sort of club I've seen that requires you to bring along female company in order to enter.

Well there are better reasons to get into a fight but in the USA, cops would show up, break up the fight, then beat the crap out of you, and then charge you with assault on a police officer, as many counts as there are cops there to laugh as their friend beats you up. At that point the only thing that could save you is if someone caught the incident on their camera phone and put the whole thing on Youtube, proving that you didn't attack the cop.
Be glad at least to be able to get in a fight and not have your life wrecked by lying thug cops.

Depends where you live here in the US.
I lived down in Georgia, the US state, for about 10 years and my brother DJ'd a bunch of clubs in Savannah, Statesboro, and Atlanta (Whitewolf/CCP Base) It is crazy how many people got stabbed, fought, or got shot. Every friggin week there would be a new 'dirty souf rapper' tryin to spread his name around and get killed in the process.
Hell I had a high school teacher who had a conference at the Hyatt in Atlanta, someone got shot!
I'm not racist but not even feelin bad about making a gross estimate and saying about 85%, if not more, of the black people down there are. I live down there for 10 years and if you're white, your ****ed. They all have a vendetta that isn't their own, just to try to make a name for themselves. Example: me and my brother were both into football at a previous school, transfered to a public school down there, we were bench'ed until we quit and not allowed to play not because we were bad, but because we were white. 2. My brother actually brought this up tonight we were all out with our kids bowling and skating, he said there was one time him and his girlfriend went to a skating rink and was kinda obvious that they were the only white people there, after about 15 mins of skating around a big guy slammed into my brother knockin him on the floor bout 3 other guys surrounded him and said they need to leave... a fk'in skating rink? seriously?
Now I live around Ohio / Ky / WV and its completely different, theres a mix of white and black here and no one really cares but still people gettin shot :P Every other week we hear about someone gettin shot around the clubs in WV or stabbed, couple of them have metal detectors and even some of the more popular restaurants have bouncers to pat you down before you enter. The Ohio / Ky towns don't have any around here.

I call BS on that but cant really say as I have no real insight into the depth of police brutality in the US, but surely the courts would question how a single person assaulted a whole gang of police all at the same time without the group of police subduing them?

Forget the common usage of the word. The assault in such a case is just trying to willingly apply physical force against officers doing their duty. It is enough that you caused the fear/possibility of imminent harm. For example just pulling your arm back in a fist can be considered as an assault here. Actual harm is not required. Even just touching a police officer doing his duty is battery against a peace officer, if the officer chooses to take it as such.
You have to understand that police officers represent the entire system of law and order, so the law is designed to protect the officers in their line of duty against all interference. Any resistance against them will get you in trouble, if they choose to cause you trouble. If you want to contest the issue or make a complaint, the right place to do it is after the arrest. In a case where the police officers had to break a fight physically, they have a basis to make such claims. That doesn't mean they will make it or that you are going to jail for years, but it doesn't mean the cops have no case either.

I can see its mainly because of the different laws then, in the UK assaulting a police officer is generally a charge that is bought only after an officer has an observable injury like a bruise or something worse when fighting with an officer could result in charges like obstructing a police officer or resisting arrest.

Lots of "law uber alles" types like yourself will learn the hard way.
This is why I don't bother with the activism. If the good guys win, you get to keep thinking the way you do without consequences.
We do protect each other though. I scared off a predatory cop with a shortwave radio once. They hate it when the mundanes can call for their own backup.

Around here you probably don't get off without a visit to the ER if you go up against a bouncer.
Silly clubs with silly rules you just don't go to, for me that include clubs with a large foreign element 'cause you know there will be blood. Some cultures just have too much of a macho attitude and can't handle their drink well, turks among them.

In America it depends on the state your in. Here in Florida, just stay away from Mexicans and Cubans at night and you should be good.
And don't take drugs from the creepy black guy on the corner at night either. They're probably ruffies.
All jokes aside, I have no real idea what the night life is around here. -

The night life here in South Africa consists almost exclusively of teenagers with faked IDs or 20-somethings that can't grow up, more often than not spending their parents' money on booze and drugs at clubs. Very often, they're that concerned about their faces and clothes that they wouldn't dare touch you, whereas the bouncers are sometimes professional security personnel (doesn't mean they won't let you in for R50 if they spot your fake ID or you bring a supposed photostat), so fighting with them isn't desirable.
Other times, they'll throw you onto someone's car, causing its alarm to go off, causing people recognising that alarm to come out, having the owner inevitably finding a dent on their trunk and you on the thing; this is if you get particularly unruly at a club that just isn't worth going to.
All that said, I'm no clubber, I've only gone when I've had to for my friends' sake (birthdays/going aways). --- Sig removed till it's relevant again. |

UK
Theres 4 crowds
The "LETS GET DRUNK WITH CHEAP BOOZE", these people get in fights ALL THE time and usually do more harm to themselves than anything
The "LETS GO TO DECENT PLACES BUT ACT LIKE ****S", these people are pretty chilled but on a Fri / Sat can be ******ed pricks
The "LETS GO TO STUCK UP PLACES WHERE ENTRY COSTS MORE THAN MY RENT", these people have 8645873 lawyers on speed dial, smiling can get you sued and everyone is political so people avoid being animals.
Sadly 99% of brits fit in the first category, or did until the government nerfed benefits HAHAHAHAHA
My crowd ôLETS GO GET HIGH @ SOME RANDOM PARTY AND STRUGGLE TO MOVE FOR 4 HOURSö, these people binge on food all night and spend all evening talking about why weed should be legal

Partially true, but I still find your lack of empathy disturbing.
Also true is that the economy, education, employment prospects, cheap housing, pensions, the NHS, the police, the military, basic human rights, the legal system, equality of opportunity and a whole host of other stuff has also been nerfed, or is in the process of being nerfed.
Enjoy your smug sense of self-satisfaction whilst it lasts.

Sorry for spelling, i suck at english.
Germany:
Cheap clubs: You get in as long as more woman are inside then man. You dont get in if you are very drunk. You get in if you know some of the "security" guys. Fights: Had three so long. I will not describe how the whole stuff started, lets say...differencies in language. You will get kicked out, sometimes police shows up. If you are out of luck, the securitys will beat you up a little. Or a little more.
Expensive clubs: You get in as long as you have money and a girl (or two). Furthermore, clothing is important. Did not see a fight at the clubs. Maybe because the security guys there are better paid. If you start a fight (as i heard), you will be kicked out and police will be awaiting you. ----- UK:
WTF EXPENSIVE. THREE POUNDS FOR A PINT WTF. Seriously. And ugly girls :( And did i mention the drinks are ****ing expensive, so you cant get drunk and hit on ugly girls? People are not very friendly there. Maybe thats just my observation, your mileage may vary. Did not see any fights, just loud voices, chestbeating and testosterone foaming. ----- Norway:
OMG. Ill take beer as example again: ~10 euro per 0.5 liter. People are VERY friendly and nice. We partied with 4 norwegians we meet in a club for two days. Good times :) No fights, very relaxed atmosphere.
Conclusion: Get rich and live in Norway. Or, do it like me, be a poor bastard and live in germany. You can have fun here, too. Stay out of the UK, though.

Although it varies between countries it also varies from town to town. I live in the North-East of England (County Durham) and the nightlife is total crap. Just before Xmas a colleague got his face smashed in during a night out because he walkedback into a guy by accident. I have had a number of fights during nights out and also got a good smack a couple of years ago at the end of my street when returning from a good night out, all unprovoked.
Now when I lived in Ememouth for a while I used to be out on the town a couple of times a week and only twice were there problems, the first was just a couple of "words" and then the guy walked off and the other was when some scousers (from Liverpool) wanted my cigarettes, not one cigarette but all of them, still didn't end with violence though.
So from what I have seen it isn't a matter of one country being worse than another in general but down to individual areas within the countries. As my area is crap I rarely go for nights out now and when I do I don't drink much so if the **** does hit the fan I can deal with it. Also my area seems to breed ugly so no point going out on the pull either.

Unless you live in one of the US states like mine in which it is considered illegal to photograph or videotape any police activity. The person who captured the video would have the phone confiscated and wiped and would be facing criminal charges himself.
