First Flight (wall of text) The beating of the capsuleerĘs pulse quickened as the rust-laden rifter-class frigate is released from the confines of the docking array of the station. Glints of sunlight reflected off the patched holes on the frigate hull as the ship creaked and groaned against the expanse of space. Faded red letterings reading ōIcarusö lie against the rusted hull of the frigate. The IcarusĘ engines roars into life as the frigate accelerates into cruising speed as itĘs pilot maneuvers the agile ship away from docking proximity. The capsuleer inputs coordinates into the frigateĘs navigational control system and the frigate cruises into warp align. The slumbering warp engine roars into life as the frigate reaches warp speed. The Icarus speeds across the Hageken system, passing by the white sun towards its destination. Thousands of kilometers are crossed in mere seconds as the frigate continues its first flight into battle. A hulking silvery white structure quickly appears on the frigatesĘ tracking system as the frigate approaches the Akonoinen stargate. Warp drives are cut as the Icarus slows into jumping range. The massive stargate is activated causing the space around the frigate to flicker and shimmer then suddenly disappear. The Icarus arrives at the hostile system, and still in cloak the capsuleer surveys the ships on the other side of Akonoinen stargate. The alarms of the frigate targeting computer remained eerily silent as no hostiles were identified in the traffic of ships. The capsuleer relaxes and plans his next move to align and warp to the next gate. Suddenly, alarms angrily blare into life as the targeting computer identifies a dozen hostiles entering local space. The capsuleer pauses ū uncertain of what to do. His blood froze in his veins as a million scenarios races through his mind. The cloaking interference from the stargate jump begins to wear off and the Icarus is left out in the open in the middle of a hostile fleet. Survival instinct, cowardice and prudence finally kicked in and the capsuleer activates the warp drive to the next gate. The capsuleer twitches in his pod as he warps away in shame. The first encounter with hostiles other than the Cartel ended without a shot being fired. Hostile alarms suddenly blare to life as the Icarus drops from warp into a middle of a firefight. A fleet of a dozen hostiles are identified by the targeting system and in the midst of the flashing red angry swarm - a handful of allies stand stalwart against the horde. The Icarus cruises towards the stargate unnoticed by friend or enemy, still in uncertain of what to do. The computer alerts the capsuleer of the small friendly fleet surrounded, but registering the number of green ships left standing quickly dwindling. The capsuleer notices several fleeing allies from the hostile kill zones, and as the jump portal to headquarters activates he realizes the remaining valiant few were holding the line to buy enough time for the fleet to escape. The capsuleer makes up his mind to answer the call as the Icarus arrives in the next system. The fleet communication computer was accessed and the capsuleer quickly found the friendly fleet that was left behind. The call to arms was answered as the Icarus aligns towards the fleetĘs rally point. This time the warp engines roar to life with a frenzied drive. Every sub-system, every turret and every inch of IcarusĘ hull seem now to rattle with excitement. The Icarus knew there will be blood tonightą

Edited by: Itin Erant on 19/08/2011 21:55:35 Okay.. not sure what it is that I am doing wrong. I applied for forum access over a week ago, and I have heard nothing at all back. I have posted a few times in this thread asking what is happening and if I am doing things correctly, and still haven't heard a thing back...
Should I just give up an join EVE University instead? I have no problem waiting, but I would like there to be a point to it, not just endlessly waiting for a (ANY) response to my questions which may never come.
If someone could point me to someone I could talk to regarding this issue, it would be greatly appreciated. When I try to log into the forums, it tells me to contact and admin, but fails to actually give me any contact info for said admin.
thanks

Thanks so much for responding! I read through the guidelines and I thought it indicated I should join the forum group red or blue first. Oh well! I have to go to a b-day party tonight, but I will be applying as soon as I get back!
Thanks again for the reply =).

RvB just swarmed into Fade with a 60 man fleet, most of them in Thorax hulls, and took on a fleet with cap-support...bloodied and battered, we still ended the day with a nice Machariel kill and dozens of others from frig to bs sized...we do more then just fly around in T1 fit Rifters (not that there is anything wrong with a T1 fit Rifter)...come see what you've been missing! -----

As I said late lastnight, this roam was brilliant. Really and truly brilliant.
Part One Started off with the meetup in Autaris (was very few blinkies meeting us in Jan as it turned out), way earlier than planned as well why not? So Donga was a go. By the time we left we had nearly 70 Thorax's in fleet and my Donga was vertical. What can I say, the sight of all those 'rax hulls made me horny. (4 Deimos, 1 Phobos, x number of Thorax's, a couple of Vexors and some Incursus)
We headed off with our first destination set as UMI-KK, had a couple of guys scouting (Geoffer and Eveess), they inform us of a Drake on the M-O gate in Taisy, that was jumping as we hit the Taisy gate in Nalvula. So I ordered us to jump to Taisy and get to M-O AS-Fukken-P and jump in after said Drake.
However, I didnt ask the scouts to get in before us, so we jumped into half a dozen large bubbles, with a bunch of 'canes and random crap sitting off them at range. Suddenly same drake decloaks near us so I order us to burn and kill it, he melted, then the others sides fleet comes bouncing in and getting screwed by their own bubbles - they got in deep so couldnt warp out. While 3 of the Deimos (including the ever so fail FC  ) and some of our smaller stuff died fast, the large majority of the fleet took care of business:

Kills:29 Losses:16 Damage done (ISK):1.26B - 1264.49M Damage received (ISK):0.56B - 564.89M Efficiency:69.12%
(Some ships show on "our" side that were not there - but EVEKills battle reports dont let you narrow down the time period, so all sorts can show for a given system).
Part Two So after the FC and other losses reship, we moved on to UMI-KK through a very deserted Tribute. We set course through Pure Blind from here, taking in a few systems and a biobreak. As we all returned one of the scouts reported a few people being in ROIR-Y, ones he couldnt shoot due to no more alliance (lol politics) :( As sat on the ROIR-Y gate, waiting for him to leave it so we could jump in, he suddenly exclaims "guys, there was some on the G95-VZ gate, hold in that system", and suddenly a few ships jump into us and die in an awful fire and get sent home the fast way - POD EXPRESS!!
http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=10464459
Kills:7 Losses:0 Damage done (ISK):0.03B - 27.03M Damage received (ISK):0B - 0M Efficiency:100%
Part Three After the small instance of buttsex our thorax fleet perfomed on the above, we moved up into Fade, shooting station services along the way - enjoy those mails you 0.0 slumlords you! Eventually we got to the K4YZ-Y gate, and our scout reported some people both in system and on station. Suddenly Yoshi steps up and offers his Deimos as bait to get them off station. This cunning ploy worked, however when his relief (all of us) jumped in we found a group waiting for us on the gate, so we pewpew'd them, either forcing them off or killing them, too late for Yoshi as he died while we were busy.
We then moved to their station as the guys who killed Yoshi were still agressed, and we got a couple of them before they managed to dock/warp off (wait no scrams?!!!). They valiantly tried to smack in local, but this didnt scare us at all, so they undocked a whole bunch of stuff, followed by 3 carriers. We bravely got to work and started killing things before the carriers got reps onto them, however all of a sudden a fleet member calls "Machariel on field", so I immediately had us switch targets and we threw all dps at the Mach until it melted under our guns, despite the reps from Carriers....

Continued:
Then, some discretion took over as our numbers were whittling down, and while fire was our aim, ***gotry fire involving caps wasnt. So we bailed to lick our wounds, pod the shipless home.

Kills:40 Losses:42 Damage done (ISK):2.41B - 2414.57M Damage received (ISK):1.09B - 1092.87M Efficiency:68.84%
Part Four The ragtag band of survivors then decided to head back to empire, hoping to find a better fire along the way, however it soon turned out a bunch of guys were following us, so we formed up - those few who were left - on our out gate in F-NMX6. Shortly thereafter a group of mainly frigates landed on the gate. Some jumped as soon as we aggressed, however the majority stayed, and fought. It was about this time that i gave up target calling and just said "kill everything", which is pretty much what happened.
http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=10464632
Kills:22 Losses:1 Damage done (ISK):0.27B - 274.66M Damage received (ISK):0.05B - 49.02M Efficiency:84.86%
The rest of the journey home was very uneventful, sad to say I my pod+clone survived the whole night and I only lost 1 ship out of the 4 I had set aside, but it was a brilliant roam, and totally glad I was there from the beginning, I even learned the odd thing or two about FCing (and how to spell the word HOLDING).
Very much looking forward to the 3rd night. So stay tuned for more details! ================

Just a brief account from RvB.
I logged on just after DT to see if there was any action. There were a few blues around that were active. So I junped into a rifter to see if I could get any fights. After dancing with some cruisers and bc on BHQ I decided I needed a bigger boat!!!. As I was exiting Autaris I noticed a Blue thorax on the gate. I decided what the hell I'll grab a cruiser come back and have a crack at him. When I got back RHQ, I jumped in a thorax made sure it was insured, had drones and ammo and headed back. When I jumped back into Autaris the thorax was still there. I figuired he was probably bait but it would be fun anyway. I started aggressing and he started shooting back. I normally fly frigates so I started to orbit at 500 the realised i was too close so started moving away from the blue thorax. The only problem was I got to far out and had to move closer. The blue thorax went into armor and I was waiting for the dreaded blue blob. He then started to go into low armor and I was only just going into armor I though I've got this one in the bag. However he didn't die as quickly as I thought he would. My armor started to drop I was really begining to freak out, then finally he went pop. I recalled my drones and warped out as more blues were arriving. I had 27% armor left and my guns were 70% heat damaged (one of these days I'll learn to stop overloading my guns when they get badly heat damaged)but I didn't burn them out this time. This was My first solo kill in a cruiser.

RvB claims to hold on their "rules" and one on one honor, well ive proven them wrong and they wont accept it, i dont care about it, for me i just think its fun to see their reaction when they dont comprehend that the thing they brag about, aint there, i loled, alot and still do..
IF you're looking to join RvB for learning pvp, You're better off finding a other place where they do hold what they promise:)
1v1, usually means that you get jumped and RvB HC wont resolve the issue :)

Oh here is the mail answer to your complain:
Show a rules violation with supporting evidence that hasn't been dealt with.
Oh and who ever said having honor has anything to do with RVB? Some follow Ebushido and some of us laugh at their crying while we blow up their ships. Both are welcome.
Let me go over our "Rules" for you.
Honor arranged fights including 1v1s. This is one of the hardest to enforce because there are a lot of opportunities for misunderstandings. Things that lead to misunderstanding and there for are exceptions are when one fights at a station gate or some other (are there any?) common travel point. Take it to a planet. If you see 2 people fighting at a plannet do not simply engage unless asked to help you should assume any combat taking place off the beaten path is arranged unless you know for a fact that it is not.
No Podding RVB. this one is easy to enforce because it results in a killmail so we can easily identify the perpetrator and prove guild.
No midslot ECM. This is self explanatory can be a tad harder to prove but you're going to be looked at with a seriously critical eye if we see you rolling around in a dedicated ECM ship.
No neutral RR
Follow orders from Leadership
Honor Purple status (don't shoot at red/blue when purple status is called)
Finally no BS Command ship, Logi, HICs or T3 in opposing teams HQ system
It's pretty ****ing simple. If you have a documented case of these restrictions being violated you go to a team leader to get it resolved if you aren't satisfied with that result find one of the directors if you still aren't satisfied contact Del Delvechio.
If after all that you are not satisfied then you are whinny little ***** who doesn't belong here and should probably go back to WOW.

Solo pvp dead? not in RvB atlest! If you are a pilot that loves to fly solo you will have alot of fun in RvB, but be prepared to dodge the blob from time to time. On the other hand if you like to fly in fleet join up and try to blob said solopilot or just kill the other corps fleet.
