Anyone here do re-purposing?
I love it all, active subscriber/member to instructibles.
Atm I'm staring at a broken all-in-one printer that was given to me to play with, because omfg im gonna have so much fun with the parts. Free glass plate from the scanner bed part, free and pretty much unused scanner lamp which is always fun, and tons of free components to melt off
let the fun ensue :O, if I post no more then you may think electrocution has occured.

Aw, here I thought you were referring to marine salvage. :(
I worked very briefly with a crew of marine salvagers as a teen. Quite interesting, the procedures they have to go through to get down there, survey the wreckage(s) and prepare for lifting. Loads of fish and crabs on deck once things got hauled out, too - big, spiky crabs, sometimes :D --- Sig removed till it's relevant again. |

Occasionally. Mostly, it's just taking things apart and using the more interesting bits for Warhammer models, or using old keyboard keys for stuff.
Although I did use my current case as a shelf for a good few years, until I found a use for it when my new video card didn't fit in a tiny compact case.

There are a lot of links to instructables and Lucid Science from my favorite hackaday.com. Lots of cool stuff. I never throw away anything electronic because of those sites.
