-I am looking to start a large IPO for production purposes. -I am trying to come up with the best plan for security for the investors. -I will need to acquire both minerals and BPO's. -The IPO will be around 130b isk. Approx 50% would be raw materials and 50% would be BPO's. There is
Questions
1) Would a trusted 3rd party (Chribba, Darknesss) with equal shares in the corp that has the BPO's be a trustworthy solution?
2) What is the safest solution for investors in such a situation if equal corp shares is not the way to go.
3) How should auditing be handled? Who should do the auditing?
3) If the profit monthly is about 10% of the IPO how much do investors look to receive in return?
Thank you for responding!

3) i would say somewhere between 6-8% specially with a 50% collateralization ( unless you want the raw materials to be held by third party as well)if its COMPLETELY collateralized somewhere between 3-5% is good.
3)auditing: done by auditor, breaker, VV, they're all fine.
2)have the third party hold onto them and just have them set the priveleges and rights and what not for you to use. have them lock the BPOS.

Why would partial collateral do anything to reduce an interest rate? Fully collateral might warrant a lower interest rate, but partial collateral is just like partial pregnancy... Now you only lose half the invested amount, well done!
3-5% on fully collateralized, depending mostly on whom the offering party is. 8-10% for a no collateral business, depending mostly on whom the offering party is.
Even though it's not a question, Ill answer it anyways:
4) Chances of you getting 130B with this character are zero to none. So unless you are a Tornsoul/Cosmo/Raw alt, don't bother.

You should have reservations (or guarantees by known MD regulars) for most of the unsecured part of your offering before you post it on MD.
Otherwise it is very unlikely this will get off the ground. |

Posting to confirm I was approached by the OPs main, well I think it's his main as he didn't tell me which alt he was using to post. I told him to start a discussion thread about it.
I was contacted in regards on how to setup an offering of this type and size. Such as what the best way to approach this for public funding, an audit, and other general advice on it.
The OP did leave out one important fact about this offering which he did disclose to me. However, I will leave it to him to reveal that as he asked me for it to remain confidential for now.
I do wish to state that if interest is there, I am willing to audit him. In my opinion however, the size and scope of this audit would be more than either of us could do without the risk of making errors or overlooking something and I would like to offer a partnership with VV on this if it is agreeable with both parties, again if the interest is there.
Yeah, I said it. I'm willing to partner up with king of threadnaughts

you're right i was completely thinking of partial collateralization on much lower sums. i guess at 130b, its still 65b Worth of collateralization gone if he were to run with it so chances are that the risks are equal to 0 collateral

Because you reduce risk...
Generally all investments are bets and less risk means less reward.

There are not a lot of production IPOs types with 65B in BPOs and I am not sure they yield 10%.
Imho even before checking other factors, the 10% profit should be proven. - Auditing & consulting

Edited by: Kalrand on 22/02/2011 07:20:05 Is this the same TEST guy who posted something similar to the goon and test boards today?
If so, it's a total scam.
Edit: The idea was something like four lines of supercap production at once.

Answers to questions raised
- The details of the business will remain known to only the 3rd parties and the auditors for now. They will advise the investors on the level of risk involved but without specifics. There is alot of ISK at stake and keeping information from the general public is the safest solution. - Investors into the IPO will be released more information privately. - I will be approaching Chribba, Darknesss and Somer ( and other 3rd partys with good and known character) about the possibility of holding controlling shares of the BPO's purchased. - Breaker77 and I will be in talks about more specifics of the IPO and statement
