TL;DR Here it is.
Wasn't quite sure where to post this so just thought I'd make a thread. Its a chart that I made some time ago for some friends getting into exploration and contains some pretty basic info that experienced explorers should all know but newbies might find useful.
It was originally just for high sec so the "hideaway may escalate" is a bit of incomplete info. Most if not all the anomalies can escalate to DED sites but I have not personally experienced this. Additionally, the statement "DED always drop overseer effects" is in dispute by some. I personally don't believe it anymore.
When I find the original visio final I'll update the image for accuracy.

So instead of being a forum jerk, you couldn't take the time to post those 4 lines of text? If the forums is some kid of ego boost for you, you need to shut down your game and go outside. Seriously, be helpful, not an a$$.

Some people like visuals. No need to flame a helpful resource.

Not bad info for newbs.
I'd change the "Hideaway may escalate" to just "Possible Escalation" since other anomaly's also have that option. Also the "Possible Faction Spawn" on the Anomaly side should include "Possible Faction Loot".
As for the Overseer boxes, I've always had them in a drop even though others say they haven't.

Yeah I mentioned in the Op that the hideaway part needs to change. Also I was honestly operating under the assumption that most people know faction spawn = possible loot drop but maybe I can add that as an addendum somewhere for all faction spawns. Need to find the damn visio file though.

i think i learned one thing i never knew. the escalation chance on the signature side is based on whether or not there is a faction spawn. no faction spawn, no escalation. correct? |

Actually that part of the chart is a bit misleading.
Take Gurista Watch for instance. You trigger the escalation by killing an overseer (who is not a faction rat) who spawns only after you engage the Weapon Manufacture Plant. After killing him, there is a chance for escalation and simultaneously, a chance for faction spawn.
Gurista Vigil has a time based faction spawn in the second room. The escalation itself can be triggered by the use of the gate in the second room (room must be clear of hostile ships) or by waiting and killing the faction spawn.
Gurista Hideout escalation chance is triggered by destroying the Experimental Tower, and the faction spawn chance is triggered by killing of some of the ships that spawn.
Escalation trigger mechanics vary between sites (talking about the original signatures here), but usually they involve shooting some structure/overseer/faction spawn. Pay attention to the messages in local for hints (Gurista Watch sends messages like "defend the manufacture plant at all costs").
Further escalations in an escalation chain are usually triggered by killing a faction rat, or barring no faction rat being present, activating the acceleration gate (Gurista Hideout - Sooth Sayer does this).

Killing faction spawn started triggering escalation when CCP noticed folks are farming faction loot by just killing faction spawn and leaving trigger intact; and since timer resets when you warp to escalation site you could do it indefinitely, collecting faction spawns after every DT. This has a side-effect of making many escalation stages a lot easier since you only need to kill faction spawn which is in turn often there on entry gate or spawns at the beginning. The old escalation triggers are still intact and can be used if you don't have a faction spawn in that stage |

Nice bit of history I was not aware of there. Thanks for that

Ooh nice chart. And the post with the triggers too. I shudder to think how many Blood Lookout escalations I've missed out on by not shooting the Bunker.

:)
edit: Like it though :)

Sooo what id really love is a list of the triggers for escalation? I always seem to be hit and miss on these,
Sometimes i think theres some kind of kill order to get the faction spawn.
Any way is there a site that lists the kill order/triggers? Because im proberbly missing tons of potential escalations

I can tell you a few (for Gurista).
Lookout - destroy Outpost in second room
Hideout - destroy Experimental Tower in second room; kill 2 groups of frigates for possible faction spawn as well
Watch - attack Weapons manufacture plant in second room, kill Militant Overseer; faction rat may spawn after killing him as well
Vigil - activate gate in second room when clear of hostile ships (can be inbetween reinforcement waves); if you decide to do this make sure to return as the faction spawn is on a timer. Escalation can also come from him if you do not use the gate
I'd imagine the triggers for other races are similar. Really though just look for unique structures/unique rats/hints in local.
