Auto Targeting System II boosts lockable targets +3 just for fitting it. Very useful on the Scorpion, which locks 3 fewer targets than its Recon counterparts, but has free high slots.

Preemptive 4/10.
On topic, the Survey Scanner, but more for what it represents rather than what it is.

My vexor would like a word with you. In fact they are great on cruisers (but ONLY on cruisers)
Now my little pet peeve: shield flux coils - I've not yet figured out a use for them.

All of the micro/small shield transporters.
You can make a case for small remote armour reppers and possibly even small cap transfer arrays (although it'd be a strange situation that used them).
Micro/small shield transporters have got to be the most utterly useless module in-game IMHO.
Oh yeah a cap battery in a Curse and some decent skills and you're cap stable while running two medium neuts, mwd and tracks. Not as ideal as cap boosters but its very viable for small gang work in sov space.

You can't have small shield boosters in the list, gistii-b shield booster is awesomely good for AFs

I will Trade you 5 Navy Ospreys for 10 Navy Exequror...I promise to only fly the navy exequror in pvp if you make this trade :)
Least Favorite Module = Tractor Beams, because they wont work on player ships...thats BS! by Capital Ship/POS should be able to real in your frigate/cruiser...death star style! :P

Edited by: Lirinas on 25/02/2011 18:17:05 Capacitor Batteries definitely have their uses, especially in the Cruiser-line of ships. A Large Cap Battery will always provide better cap stability to a Cap Recharger in a cruiser, although it does take quite a bit more power. Medium Batteries vs Cap Recharger are roughly equal and ultimately depends on the exact ship & stats you have.
Auto-targeting arrays aren't completely useless, but I've been known to fit them on gun-light ships. such as a Gila or Ishtar. In fact, I've used an Ishtar that had both an auto-targeter & a large cap battery :)

Least favourite, rather than least useful, hmmm?
On my own ship, CPU Enhancers and RCUs - usually if I have to fit them, it's to make an otherwise perfectly good fit... well, fit. But I always look at that low-slot and think "if only this ship had this much fitting space naturally, I could do so much better with that damn slot".
On other people's ships, anything that makes them able to hurt or inconvenience me in a fight, repair damage I deal to them in a fight or get away from me in a fight. For instance, Tracking Disruptors are total OP bull**** when someone else fits them but perfectly balanced when I use them. ----- Andreus Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor

Micro cap booster's can fit cap booster 200's and are easier on fitting than small cap boosters. No wonder they are expensive....and actually useful.
I find regenerative plating useless. The adaptive plating outperformance them in all cases.
Also I've yet to see a proper use for tracking links. Even on bonused ships they don't give any edge.
Omni ECCM module is another type of joke. Same as str as racial one but double energy consumption. I believe they shouldn't be even in game. ------------------------------------------- Die Amarr Die!!! |

Disregarding cap consumption (and given the extra consumtion is rarely an issue on the ships that fit them, i.e. BC and up), you could as well say racial eccm modules dont need to be in game since there is the omni.
If you are stocking up corp hangars with modules, omnis arent a bad choice. You wont run out of a specific type early and end up with just the same "anybody got a radar eccm?" you tried to avoid in the first place, and dont need to make wild assumptions how many of each type you could possibly need.

Edited by: Zyress on 25/02/2011 22:21:51 Yeah I actually find I use micro cap boosters fairly often on active tanking ships, they fit really easy and if you don't need a buttload of cap they can hold a few charges at a time too. That aside, I hate anytime I need to fit a fitting module, grid, cpu, or cap.
