Concept: A ship that will allow other players to dock and jump with it. Attributes: ~ 10million m3 Docking bay ~ 25,000 m3 corp hanger ~ 10million m3 Ship Maint. bay ~ Max 20 players docked (no capitals, freighters) ~ Shield, Armor, Hull 75% of racial Super-carrier ~ 5 ly base jump range. ~ Immune to EWar like other supercaps. ~ 2,500 drone bandwidth, 55,000 m3 drone bay (some incentive to take it into combat) ~ Can fit deployment module, same as siege/triage but 30min duration, uses low amount of racial fuel, allows pilots to set their clone to the mothership for the duration, no jump clones though, also allows pilots to use the mothership to repair their ship. Mothership pilots can set a docking/repair fee if they are greedy, and use standings for who can dock, ect.
Notes: If the mothership is destroyed while players are docked they are also destroyed. Mothersip logs off all pilots will be ejected when deployment mode ends (if on) Cannot undock in warp. No aggression delay for docking.
Other Possibilities: To make this ship more attractive for the industrialists, some science/industry possibilities. Minmatar: Refining capability, pilot sets tax rate Amarr: Construction, hourly rate set by pilot, cannot produce anything the mothership itself cannot hold I.E. Capitals, freighters Caldari: Research slots, pilot sets rate Gallante: Either increased pilots docked, or a combination of the other motherships science/industry but with fewer slots/ less efficient.

the hamsters don't like it when a player docks with a player
as for the indy special racial abilities, no chance. ccp hates anything that would allow players to be true space nomads.
i personally like the idea. ccp will shoot you down and lock this thread because the idea is both awesome and undoable

I can be CCP for you. Topic Locked and moved to Spammerland. -- As an Amarr Defector, I chose to become a Mercenary and Industrialist. I also have one goal in mind: Create a new age of peace and prosperity for all four empires. |

sorry but it cant be done. Anything nomadic is expelled by ccp.
They even don't want to build industrial which constructs or research or refine in space.
Thats simplest task and adds multiple options.
That way you could have fleet of indy ships in WH which mimic station easily.

Because its so big, its unlikely to be able to travel into wh's and it proberbly needs some kind of sov to get built, so no building one in wh either

As some else said the database does not like it if a player is inside another player owned objects.
That you are describing was the original idea for the Titans, CCP found that the database structure is incomparable.
However there is a suggestion that works around the problem, do a search for Hive ship. Macrointel, the place were the nature order of the universe does not hold sway. Pirates and ore thief's are congratulated by carebears for the actions. |

Alright I don't know anything about Capitals... but you can't dock into them? What kind of bull**** joke is that?

It might be possible in the future, but probably not anyones radar tbh.

It likely has to do with inheritance. When you dock with a players ship you are now technically part of his inventory, which gives rise to all the things a player can do with his inventory... Such as destroy it, sell it, etc. Given that eve is a bajillion years old, it probably has a pretty old DB hierarchy, in that player > all. If you suddenly try to make playerA > playerB it probably causes the database to throw a fit.

this would be a cool ship to see flying around, and a very sad day for who ever looses one.
But this would only give the strongest of alliances even more unbalanced advantage when fighting to take over more Sov, its a mobile station pretty much with its own defenses :/
Turrets at Outposts would be nice though

Even more reason to do it!
