CTDs may be a problem at your end, and with this frequency I'd say it probably is, as opposed to node crashes.
Shouldn't really make a forum moan about it, unless you want someone from the forums to come over and have a look at your computer. I don't recommend this, these people are dangerous. ------------

It seems there are 2 promlems, CTD cause of the client side bug and loosing connection to server cause of the server side bug.
I have made observations over sometime now.. I get out of the game in 3 ways, CTD, lose internet connection (my problem), lose connection to server (server problem). - In CTD the game closes completely, internet still running (TS still connected) - If I lose internet connection game is still running but I get back to login screen, TS loses connection too - If I lose connection to server, same as if I would lose internet connection but TS still connected
Don't think I can explain it simplier.

Here too, maybe it comes from the odd tab-out i do once in a while. IIRC it happens always when i try to warp.

I was having a lot of CTD's too, I've made one quick change to the options and found that I haven't had one since (3 days later). Here's what I did...
In the options screen on the generic tab, deselect the checkbox for "Log chat to file" and "Sun is occluded by ships". Doing this has not only stoped my CTD's it has also given me an additional 8 frames per second performance wise
I think that there is a problem with the logging of chat to be honest as usually I crashed out just as I was after hitting return to say something in my corp channel.
YMMV but best of luck

CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + M brings up a monitor window. You'll find it there

Sorry for the multiple posts, but the other thing to try is to delete your old chatlogs and gamelogs from
C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\capture\Chatlogs and C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\capture\Gamelogs
or wherever you installed EVE.

I've had similar problems with Eve crashing every hour or so. I narrowed it down to my PC overheating - Eve being so CPU intensive etc. I have two machines and one of them didn't have enough space around it for the air coming out to escape. I've moved it, put another fan in and have had no Eve 'connection loss' since. You can get extra fans really cheaply. Worth a try.

Yea the last few days have been realy bad, i got a massive address book & the whole side of my screen was filling with droppers this weekend, lets not start saying its peoples kit I got a solid connection but still droped 3 times sunday, 1 time I was in dock with eve minimized playing music.
The worse side also is if ya ratting or a big mission spawn, also I dropped wile in an empty belt & when I relogged I warped to the station at 10km, bluddy lucky the local pirates left a few mins before hand.
I dont think it can be fixed but feel better know for ranting. _______________________________________

i get alot of CTD also and i got 2 80mm fans pushing air in and i got 2 80mm and a 120mm and the psu fan sucking the air out.
my incase temperatur is around 24-26 degrees celsius and my cpu is at 38 celsius and graphics core at 48-55 when im gaming on it and i still get crashes. it is not temperatur related at all. but if you have problems with overheating then any game would crash.
the CTD's isnt very consistent though, i get them alot for a few hours and then i dan play for a full day without them sometimes before the CTD streak comes back.

I run two accounts - had at least half a dozen occasions yesterday when one or other account dropped saying "No connection to server" whilst the other happily kept running.
/Me I'm looking at ccp for my problems...

Same for me. I run two accounts on two separate computers. When I getting server connection lost on one on second computer I'm still fine and play. 50:50 it happens on diferent computers once I lose connection on first account once on second one. I doubt this have something to do with my ISP or connection because if my connection would suck then I loose connection on both accounts.
FYI: I see "connection to server lost" around three times per day if EVE is on bad mood. Sometime I get none of them all depend on where are my characters located.
Certain systems have tendency to disconnect me from EVE server more often.

Try something constructive like running logserver and send the logfile along with a bug report everytime you CTD...sounds like it is frequent enough that it would make sense to do. ------------------- |
