So anyways. i fugred its high time I left high sec space. So I sold all my high sec assets, bought a few million ISK worth of equipment and threw it all into the cargo hold of my Maller. Then being the noob I am I set autopilot to take me from Domain space to Yahrayer. Then I turned off my audoio and alt tabbed out, played some League of Legends, played some spectromancer, had some dinner, watched some Big bang theory. By chance I tabbed back into EVE only to see alot of red flashing and some serious explosions going down.
Glad to say I made it to the gate doing 30 m/s. Somehow my medium armor repair and my 1600mm plating got me to the gate just as the three (maybe four) baddies got me down to structure.
I am now hoplessly addicted!

Does it count as PvP is he's not even playing at the time? I think someone has to actually be playing, then again he was logged in so that leaves him open for attack

Edited by: Baneken on 27/02/2011 09:09:28 Well I guess that's better then riding to Kamela with all your belongings in a badger and then whining in corp chat for losing your awesome 10mil worth of possessions + badger Mk I Yes. I've had these types of noobs in many of my previous corps/alliancies and this happens every time despite saying it a billion times not to ride the god damn industrial through low sec "to save some time". Though nothing beats a null sec n00b 'in training' for checking 'if the station was camped' with pod-express for like 5 times in a row, not that the guy was exactly sharpest tool in the shed but still.
Sorry I just had to vent some steam.

he was there for part of the time, and I thought the people were in consensus that surprise pvp is best pvp!

5 times in null is hard to beat. Done something similar to OP twice in low sec. Got in my noob ship after jumping back to empire and set the destination to Jita or some similar hell hole, turned on auto and lefter for a while. Only to be struck by the thought that I have "shorter" set in null, rather than safer. First time I stoped myself 2 jumps from low sec. Second time I woke up 4-5 jumps into low sec, turned off auto and went the last few low sec jumps on manual. Those systems were ofc crawling with pirates =)

What is it that makes people so ******ed they have to turn off the warnings about going into lowsec? They may be very slightly annoying, but did you know that they will keep you from doing stupid things like autopiloting into lowsec? or accidentally shooting someone and getting concorded? I have never understood these stories that amount to "I'm a noob and turned off the warning that woulda saved me"
And this is from a noob who dies in every noobish way at least once, but never due to not being warned

I live in 0.0, and make runs between all the security status levels regularly... I'd rather have to hit enter when going to lowsec than jump into it on accident no matter what... tapping enter DOES qualify as slightly irritating imo

the auto pilot doesn't stop for the warning
(also they made it so you can't turn of the dangerous action warning in highsec)

Delayed reply, but I was SURE that it did... Tho honestly, I haven't hit the little A for a couple years, warp to 0 or diaf imo
Gonna have to test that next time I am in highsec with an alt or something
