It's the pod kill that gets you the bounty. (Just so you know: bounty hunting as a profession in Eve isn't really happening. Most people with bounties on the put them there themselves to "be cool".)

Do you lose sec status for podding a player with bounty?
Is there any way to get a list of players with bounties on them?

There's a list you can get in every station of players with the highest bounties. Can't remember exactly what it's called, but every station has one. ----- Andreus Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor

You can select "Bounty Office" under "Station Services" for a list of Big Bads.

Never thought about this tbh. I guess you could use locator agents and bounty hunt but it'd be hard.

Possibly using locating agent channels to find someone then taking them out with a high skilled solo fit sabre when they aren't really prepared might actually be doable. But its all highly situational.

You gata kill the pod... which isnt easy.
2 times i've recently been pod killed...
First time, was a *** bombing the gate.
Second time was when i double clicked a planet and it decided to take literally 15 to load the damn screen. Couldnt activate modules, warp, or click... just sat there till some lone douche warped in, blew my ship and my pod...
Well... technical third time i had my CEO pop my pod to get a refund on my clone (chose the wrong one) by request of a GM.
Anyway... beyond that, i DID know a guy, who got very consistent pod kills. His tactic was to fit a ship with a couple smart bombs. He'd take out the ship, and wait till the hull popped, then quickly slap the smart bombs and he would almost always get the pod too.
He uses a couple ships, like Hurricanes and some amarr ships, but basically he just has to make sure he can close to under 2.5 km from the wreck. The only problem is you tend to lose the loot aswell, but when your just tryin to give people a bad day, 5 mill in random junk isnt worth much.

Smartbombs don't destroy wrecks anymore.
