+1 FanFest is at the end of the month so I'd expect with in 2-3 weeks if they keep the "Before Fanfest" date. ---- --- ---

Yeah, that's what I read in a post by CCP, I think it was a Dev Blog.
Anywhow, I can not wait to walk dry again. I've been in the wet for so long... _______________________________________

Yeah, if the fluid filters get clogged, you kind of do start collecting thicker amniotic fluid between the fingers and other areas. I don't want to be a frog! _______________________________________

Makes sense it will be around the Fan Fest weekend. It IS a pretty big announcement and if it goes on test while there's a room full of Eve fanatics, they can soak up the cheering.

Edited by: Pierced Brosmen on 21/03/2011 16:44:50 Seing that the folder my SISI client is installed in is almost 1 GB bigger then the folders my TQ clients are in (8,14 GB vs 7,28 GB). I suspect the capatins quarters are already in this version of the client. CCP have simply not activated the feature yet.
After a little digging I notice the SISI client have some additional .stuff files that the TQ client don't have, called "resInteriorCaptainsQuarters.stuff", "resInteriorEstablishments.stuff", "resInteriorPathGraphs.stuff", "resInteriorPlaceables.stuff", "resInteriorRadiosityCache.stuff" and "resInteriorSharedTextures.stuff". And there is a file called "resMinigames.stuff"... Sounds fun
With that in the client folder... I wants to play with it and not just know that it's there

GOD! I WANT TO PLAY CQ NAOW!!! With so few days left until Fanfest, it's becoming nerve wrecking having to wait for the CQ in Sisi.

Edited by: azurisk on 22/03/2011 14:33:52 To quote CCP Chiliad "It's coming to Singularity test server before Fanfest and hitting Tranquility and your computers this summer." We just assume we will be able to test it. I have not read that anywhere. looking at the new files added to the client it might as well be that CQ is already on sisi, although not accessible to us.

Knowing CCP, it will be 20 years after FanFest. Like Duke Nukem Forever, that game has been in production for over 20 years! --

In my dev blog I mentioned that we're aiming to deliver a Work in Progress, development version of the Captain's Quarters to the Singularity test server.
Unfortunately I bring bad news. This will have to wait until after Fanfest.
Normally taking a version of the static data (gameplay values of EVE, or simply content) into a production build for deployment and quality assurance is a straightforward process. With Captain's Quarters we ran into issues with the sheer mass of changes, sneaky legacy static data changes that have never been in a live production build and defects masking other underlying defects. In the end we simply ran out of time in our deployment schedule to get the build into your hands on time.
We'll unveil the details on this first Incarna feature in the coming Friday at Fanfest. This will include what's been developed so far, what will be done before the summer expansion and the plans we have for Incarna features in the expansions to come. I'll get back to you with an updated test server date after we have recuperated from the coming week of healthy sports and some modest recreational activities.
Regards, Crectus |
