A 'friend of mine' recently bought a Vagrur for running Angels and Guristas missions in Amarr space.
He has never flied Minmatar prior to this only Amarr ships.
This is what his Vargur looks like:

The question is , will this ship be able to finish AE bonus room?
It has no problem whatsoever with any mission against Angels , Guristas and EA 5of5 so far.

You can finish the AE bonus room with a completely T2 version of that fit, without breaking a sweat. I've done it dozens of times. Didn't even need a cap booster.

The trick to the AE room is to kill off the turrets first, then work on the enemies. Shouldn't have any problem with it.
It could just be that the purpose of your life is to server as a warning to others. |

Just an FYI, the bonus room does significantly more EM damage than the other rooms, so you may want to consider that. That being said, I've done it with a t2 fit Raven. It's not impossible, but it was a bit nerve wracking.

send your drones chew the pesky assault frigs has primary target, shoot every single missile/sentry tower and PROFIT.
Everything else is just a matter of order kill to get the extra spawn or not, but with a vargur you should lol that room with a simple T2 fit.

you spent 1b+ for the gist x-type shield amp , why dont you upgrade to faction hard at least if not complex. rhe room shouldnt be a problem for you though ive done it in worse tanked and worse dps fits.

The only faction hardener that gives you anything ( except a minium cap bonus and cpu )
Is the invul's, wich he has.
I Run it in my CNR with no problems.
That beeing said i do have an Gist A-Type XL, And X-Type Boost amp. With a crystal high set.
But i still see no problem in you running it with that pimped vargur.

Norman raven cap boosted with XL CN booster and T2 hardeneres no problem.
arp in start running and shoot the cruise batteries and turrest as your drons kill tacklers

Not entirely true, there's several levels of "extra T2 resists" depending on shiptype, the Vargur only has a weak version resulting in 25% base EM, not bad ofcourse but it's no HAC or the like in that respect. It does help ofcourse.

Yes, but my point was that its armour EM resists are even higher: it still "only" gets a 25% bonus, but that turns the Tempest's 60% base resist into 70%, which is pretty darn high as unmodified resists goà
àit's just too bad that the ship is a shield tanker.

mach is my machine - my tank is 1 gist X-type large, 2 cn invulns and shield boost amp, the trick is to kill everything real fast
