This is just a personal thing for now..
But I am going to work hard in eve, and everytime I get isk to buy a plex, I will use the isk to buy the plex, and donate the RL moneys into a project into Kenya..
Which for the time being will be the UK comic Relief, until me and my partner, who once taught at a school out there as a volunteer, set up a project of our own or find a more specific organisation..
What I would love for people to do, is to donate me isk, I know this is a game of little trust, and many people will first think, SCAM!! but that is your choice..
If CCP could support me in this it would be great, I could provide them with statements, as proof, and maybe help set up a project with me and my partner...
I would of course aim to do this with very little financial help with ccp but having a companies backing certainly helps!! Also could this be stickied here or General, as I will update them, and also coming soon will be Ebay Charity Auctions!!!
Will try and come up with more ideas, and open to ideas from the community!!

Good cause? yes I will agree.
However you can sink many hundreds of millions sometimes even billions into countries and it makes no difference.
will a few hundreds or few thousand plex really help? seriously?

PLEX donations to give third world governments rocket launchers! 
I mean, how do we expect them to keep their populations in check without rocket launchers? Libya didn't get help in getting rocket launchers and look at what's happening to them!

The whole thing about rocket launchers etc etc is exactly the reason me and my partner are looking to creating our own project, where we will go out to Kenya and make sure the money goes to where its needed

You have a good heart.But to be honest these idea's generally make me livid.I cant understand how others quite openly are keen to help other nations while there are kids on the street,usually their indigenous are living in squall-er,after having had their cultures destroyed by globalism & tyranny.Drugs are rampant.People who live on the street need help,to be fed.Child social services cant find enough foster parents,i could go on & on,and that's in your OWN country,your OWN people.I have volunteered in lots of area's over the years,i cant understand while people wont help their own people,were they need it.So sorry no help from me.I'm not saying they don't need it,they do.Most western countries are doing alot for Africans and the third world.In my country alone,they get instant housing,good benefits,free schooling & scholarships-in fact they get alot benefits etc,way before a lot of poor residents who have lived in my country since birth,and parents ahve paid tax's for generations.--they get alot of benefits in western countries now - alot.

I am about to get royally flamed... by meh...
The most important thing to invest money into in this day and age is "Clean Energy", not to save the environment, but to instead kill the foreign oil dependency of the most powerful nations on earth. The after effect of this change would be a total redesigning of the world economy, ultimately leading to more powerful powerful nations, and less powerful third world governments and third world "neighbors"
The after effects of this change would better the positions of the "Rich Nations" who want to stabilize the world for political and economic reasons, and lessen the positions of unstable regimes and third world establishment that can't maintain a state of internal stability for more then 5-10 years.
Ultimately leading to the bettering of far more nations then just Kenya

The points you make have some merit, but are totally beyond the scope of this thread. If you go back and actually read it you'll find that this one guy telling us he wants to donate to charity to help, among other things, feed starving children. I don't think he envisioned donating to "Save the federal reserve fund".
