That being said, a Hawk equipped with Javlin rockets could hit the Thrasher anywhere in point range and easily tank its DPS at 24km or less. And yeah, an Ishkur would eat a Thrasher alive. Any AF with sufficient bling could take a thrasher down, but a cheap thrasher can bring down most frigate hulls (and even some cruisers) for a price less than 1/10th what you'd spend on most of those AF's. You're missing the point entirely. The thrasher isn't better because it is a hard counter to af's. It's better because it perform the same role (eating t1 frigs alive and giving some cruisers a run for their money) at a fraction of the cost. Cost effective matters to most players. If it didn't we'd probably all fly dramiels, cynabals, and machs.

B) For PvE any ship with such a big enough tank I can afk the entire mission and not have to worry about how much tank I have left. C) Loki. Hands down. Rebublic Fleet Firetail looks good too. D) Loki. It can tank missions, fit a probe launcher for exploring and WH, and can be fit for PvP, Afk cloaking in nullsec sounds pretty sweet too and no I can't fly a loki but when I get all the skills... you nullsec ratters better watch out E) For people looking to learn PvP (or waiting on their tech II medium guns skills to train like me) Standard fotm Tech II Rifters are fun to fly, and come at about 3-4m each. F) Jaguar, I'm more of a shield guy, plus I like that the jag has more tank then a wolf. Currently my Jaguar is collecting dust in my hangar waiting for the day I finally take it out for PvP, along with my hound, but it'll get it's time one day... and then it will pop in a giant shower of isk

And yeah, an Ishkur would eat a Thrasher alive. hahaha... a thrasher outdamages all af's by a lot, they just melt so fast. speed is about the same and in ehp a buffertanked thrasher isnt bad vs a af.. I never lost to a jaguar or ishkur for that. I died once to a wolf because I took it for a easy kill... anyway I got about 200 af kills with thrasher so just keep thinking thrahsers are easy kills :)

E)Feel free to add in anything else if you want t1 fit thrashers are fun throw away ships in low sec, a gang of 5 or so can do a bunch of alpha, makes for a fun roam. F) Whats your favorite Assault Frig for Pve/Pvp: ishkur for both PVE or PVP, the little 1/10 plexs can basically be soloed AFK in an ishkur, and in PVP you can choose to use jamming drones, or attack drones as the situation dictates.
