Would be really nice and constructive to get this changed so, that there would be 3 portal access level;
Top level access level:
- May install corp jobs
- May cancel corp jobs installed by anyone
- May deliver finished corp jobs installed by anyone
Mid level access level:
- May install corp jobs
- May cancel corp jobs installed by himself
- May deliver finished corp jobs installed by himself
Low level access level:
- May look active corp jobs but not intall, deliver or cancel anything
This change would mean a lot to many corporations and hand tools for CEO's to start building much more open industrial corporations.
I hope this can be implemented...

I find the very idea of cancelling jobs stupid.
Whats the gain when you lose the materials and the manufacturing slolt for the time the job would take to finish? None I say!
Let us get rid off this useless, even harmfull feature (as people can cancel corp jobs wasting months of hard work and billions of ISK in couple mouse clicks)!

Theres plenty of valid reasons to cancel a job, and splitting the permissions out is a decent first step,
But honestly all corp/alliance perms need a revamp to make stuff more manageable, the system in place wasn't designed for how in some cases its being used.
Corp thefts and the like are typically only caused by poor implementation / archaic rules and permission settings, that can make it difficult to organize or work out exactly what some one can and cant access.

Someone posted this in another thread so I'll paraphrase:
They claimed all of your corp roles are characterized by a single 32 bit flag which has been part of eve code for 8-10 years, meaning it's fairly difficult to modify, probably lacks documentation, and the person who wrote it probably coding at CCP anymore (promoted or left). This is why a seemingly simple change probably won't happen for a long time, until they do a major rewrite of a lot of the code.
