Last night I had just killed the last group of ships for my first lvl 2 mission and was collecting the cargo when I got a PM from a guy named Muja asking what I was doing and if I would gang with him so being the nice guy I am I joined with him and told him about the mission I had just done. Then he says "brb nature calls" before I knew it he locked, warp scrambled, killed and podded me (battleship versus a half dead Kestrel oooohhhh what a tough pirate he is....f-in b*tch boy). I have no problem with being killed I can replace the ship and I had a good clone, but that must have been the most disrespectful way to pirate. If he wanted something I would have emptied my hold and wallet for him. All I wanted was the mission package I needed to complet the mission. I was in .4 space and it was my fault he killed me because it was the only time I didn't have a destination set to jump in a situation like that but how can I still finish the mission. If I head back to that mission bookmark will there still be a container from my ship or what. Someone please help. ------------------------------------- You are all worthless, and weak.

Someone please reply any help in how I can still complete the mission would be great. The joural shows the targets destroyed, and when I talk to the agent there isn't a I failed option so do I just redo the encounter? ------------------------------------- You are all worthless, and weak.

Edited by: Fencer on 01/02/2005 18:39:50 when you killed the last group did your log icon flash? if so you will not be able to re-do the mission, as the objectives had been completed on the kill side. and the cargo you needed was in a loot can.
I am not sure, but sounds to me like you have been truely screwed. no containers would have lasted this long. most likly the pi-RAT-e, has your loot and that of the mission. all you can do is abort the mission or wait for the timer to run out. and take the standing loss.
in the future I would be more careful in .4 or under space, and about whom you gang with. lesson learned My alt hates me, I don't know why. he won't even talk to me anymore |

check in your journal, if the objective is has a stripe through it, then the mission is done
else you still have to finish it

Ill have to take the failure then because all targets on all 4 encounters were killed and the cargo was in my hold.
If I hadn't slipped up and had a destination already set it would have been no prob as he took forever to lock and I could have warped. I was so shocked when it happened I fumbled around trying to find a location to warp to. lol f*ck it. He'll get his soon. Corp mates with battleships and a lot of free time are a good thing. ------------------------------------- You are all worthless, and weak.

Check info before you gang with someone.
Also, while in a gang, they can "spam" the gang commands which will keep you from warping away. So even if you had a destination set, you probably wouldn't be able to warp away anyway.
You learn this one the hard way. Atleast you only lost a frigate. =)

If going to low sec space, doing a lone mission, and fearing someone using the gang option to warp and kill you, set settings for gang invite on "autoreject". (You may find this option in the settings menu by pressing [escape] and then [general settings])
The guy probably does it more often, checking local for newer players, ask for invite, what you are doing, and gang warp on your location and kill you, just for the fun of it... ----------------------
