The Jove are isolationist. They prefer not to meddle unless they have to.
The last time I think they actively involved themselves was when the Four Horsemen appeared and broke up the m0o camp many years ago.
Most of the original devs at one time had Jove pictures but since have changed them.

More like they prefer to be trading information behind the scenes, and will manipulate and work through intermediaries rather than directly sending agents to give you missions and ****.
But yeah, their home-systems are off limits, if that's what you're talking about. The Amarr kinda know where some of them are, but their asses are still sore from the last time they tried to do something about it. ---

Thanks for the responses everyone, this troll I do not know yet. If it was that my apologies. I was kinda hoping we might be able to interact more with them, seems they only come out when their are people doing some nasty stuff. It would be nice to happen across their system, if it is off limits though that is out the question though. We are able to find there tech yes?

If you look at your starmap in-game you can find a whole region of space that is completely isolated from the rest, no gates lead there. This region is where the Jove live. The only time players have been there is when teleported there by devs during the annual alliance tournaments, otherwise it is completely inaccessible.
As for their tech, well, we interact with jove tech from the moment you log in, as pods are jovian technology, and we are all pod pilots are we not? --------------------------------------------

I've been waiting many years for CCP to open up the Jove in some way. You used to be able to set your clone to Jove space allowing you to take the pod express. But there wasn't much there tbh and the stations were not of Jovian design. If you check out my standings you will see I am pretty well prepared for when the Jove eventually appear :)
Maybe sometime in the next five years?

Edited by: Kripkon thelesonian on 05/03/2011 17:51:23 Yes I am sure much of the tech we use every day has had jovian hands' in the process. makes you wonder bout their true intent and purpose. I am knew to the game so I do not know much yet, yet in theory would'nt it be possible to carry enough fuel or have a logistics train bring you fuel and just travel in capital ships? The technology I was talking about; basically I was just wondering if their are still things to find that no one else has.

capitals don't have anything special to do with the Jove. And even then, they require one person to make the trip conventionally with a cyno module so can't be used to get into jove space. There aren't modules and ships and such to find. What can be found is little text story snippets in w-space, and add them to the collection that should reveal more about sleepers. K-space has pretty much been fully explored, though the information might not really be compiled.

The Jove play an important role in the Eve backstory but the exact details of that role is a mystery shrouded in intrigue and encased in machination.
Checkout the Eve Fiction forum where this stuff is investigated.

I think this may be the case. I don't believe any Dev has made a clear statement that Jove space is unfinished (open to correction though) but I think it is us *players* who assume that it is unreachable. But after looking at the clues for awhile, I think this is expected of us, just no one has made the journey yet. Given the nature of bugs in Eve, I wouldn't be surprised if the travel mechanic involved has been broken for several patches cause no Dev actually tested it

Btw. last time I checked, he was docked in Jita 4-4.

In the old days you could use moveme command on SiSi and request transfer to Jove space. That got removed. Many players have entered Jove space before. It's actually an annual event... It's called something like... Alliance tournament
