Do not think this an unreasonable request, if you truly believe the word of the Bible as they interpret it, then your soul will join God in Heaven on the 21st, while mine languishes on Earth until the actual end of the Earth on October 21st, 2011, precisely five months later. As an atheist, I shall not be permitted to join you on your journey to Heaven. I will however have five months to enjoy the worldly possessions that you will clearly have no use for, in that you will be lavishing in the miracle of God's grace. I do however wonder how a perfect, unchanging being can change from a state of living to a state of being dead. If we are talking about Nietzsche's idea of God's death, he was merely noting that the transcendental arguments for the meaning of life are no longer to be considered sufficient. Nietzsche preferred to find meaning in life within life itself, rather than deferring to God, thus "God is dead". On a related note, I wonder what the website I sourced will look like on the 22nd of May? (Hopefully not "we told you so!")
