After downloading the latest build, i tried to log in and a message popped up that said i didnt have an internet connection, the server was down, or it was the wrong port or something. The server status was unknown. Ive tried to repair it 5 times, and the repair tool didnt work at all, something about a python error. So i reinstalled it twice, and the same message pops up as well as the old login screen with the planet + space ship. It still says server unknown, and still does the same message about internet connection/port number/server being down.
How the hell do i fix this? re-installing didnt seem to work at all because it keeps telling me its not connected to the internet when my ISP is fine.

Your lucky you've got that I installed the patch about 3 hours ago and it then apparently corrupted the client, I've downloaded and tried to reinstall twice and I cant even get eve to load, on my third attempt using the offline installer now but im not holding much hope
The Repair didnt work either on the original or on the new installs.

Repaired the patch twice... didnt work. Repaired the full premium download... didnt work.
Though, the patch worked fine on my new desktop computer. The patch hasn't worked on my laptop for past months, although the full premium download usually fixes the problem and EVE launches. Something is actually broken this time, from what I can tell. Anything similar or a fix for this?

Yeah i did the full premium download and it launches in Incursion, which is good...but it still wont connect. I get the same message and Server status: Unknown. The message says: "Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong."
This is getting really damn annoying.
Any member of CCP have an answer to wth is going on?

Can CCP post somewhere telling us what the hell is wrong with their game please? Getting kind of sick and tired of looking for answers and finding nothing. Just hit the 24 hour training mark and i cant log in to add another skill to the queue because the stupid server still says unknown status.
So whats the deal? its not like we havnt been waiting long enough.

When i try to use the repair tool it tells me to check my log file in the temp folder, the log file reads like this:

Ok issue was fixed... try turning your firewall off... appareantly the firewall blocked my connection to the CCP server.

I'm having this same problem, but a firewall is not the issue. My previously working client became corrupted upon downloading the latest patch from Tuesday, and I attempted a repair. The repair failed, I uninstalled and reinstalled and the client is still coming back with a corrupted file error such as the one posted above. Anyone have a work around or fix for this?

The firewall isnt the issue, as my firewall was already turned off.

I've now uninstalled and reinstalled MANUALLY with a fresh download, and it seems to be working.
Edit: for spacing.
