Originally by: dexington Our corp mainly do missions, and while the tax is 10% everyone donate close 100% to the corp. Everyone has full access to the corp funds, with no other rules other then leave enough isk so others can replace lost ships, which basically means everyone makes sure we have atleast 200-300M at all times just in case someone lose a ship. 90% of the time everyone can just buy what they need/want, including plexs for free game time or the more expensive ships or modules.
It works because people trust each other, and because it's a small group where everyone is his owne boss and can do what he wants without asking permission from anyone. It has it's benefits, but the small size of the corp does mean that there are times where you are the only player online.
Lulz, which corp is this?
Originally by: Patient 2428190 While mission running is a solo activity, I'd imagine you would join a corp to do other things that require teamwork.
Unless you just want to mission just so you can pile more ISK on top of your pile of ISK, joining a corp would open up the game for you.
They use it to fund their pvp alt. The less they pay corp, the less they need to grind. Your tax is adding to their boring part of the game, and they don't appreciate it.

It's only a matter of time before al the corp isk will be stolen and the char that did it deleted. This kinds of corps only work when you are within IRL punching distance of your corp mates.
Hmmm...another possibility would be to siphon out funds at a steady rate into the wallet of a 3'rd party. Corp will implode when you guise will wise up and start asking questions...
btw, it's NOT a common occurence to loose ships in missions, if you have such ship replacing funds, then you are funding other guise's pvp activity. Props to him/her/them for creating their ingame slave army.

Nuela is my isk-faucet. Other chars do the interesting stuff so that they don't have to worry about cash because of Nuela. Specialization in other words. The less time spent raising isk the better.
edit - I see Goose already explained :)

yea like when they think they're safe, relocating to a different region and they get killed anyway. |

Edited by: Baneken on 10/03/2011 20:25:49 On topic of what's in it for mission runners, one the corp I was in had a simple way of getting extra funds.
You guessed it, was either missions with 80% tax or mining for free for the corp. Those who didn't do missions and didn't own a hulk hauled the stuff to station. Idea was to get some more ships for corp replacements to be blown up, some did both mining and missions.
We did this periodically when it seemed that fund raisers we're in order, finally one of the "trader guys" got tired and gave the corp 3bil isk which ended the fund raisers for quite a long time (3bil buys you a quite a lot of BCs, cruisers and frigates).
When the corp finally went over CEO told me (and the trader guy confirmed it) that he didn't even want his money back explaining he had enough ISK rolling in and why "did we pester him with the issue".
Edit: Ceo walked with the money btw. but he deserved it I think with all the flack we gave him called or uncalled.

I could see how being in voice comms talking **** could make missions slightly more bearable than running them alone in channel with your alts.
I grinded myself to be able to use lvl4s but if you can have corp mates help you with lvl4s it is much easier and even if you can use lvl4 agents of your own then some corp mate might have other (better) ones they can help you get standings for.

There's the fact that mission running in EVE is one of the most astonishingly boring things ever invented in an MMO second only to mining in EVE. Can you think of a lot of activities more mindless than running The Blockade for the 40th time in a row?
If a corp can add even a tiny bit of interest to the total blandness of mission running, it's worth a small isk sacrifice.
But I don't even find a corp enough to keep the game interesting, so I just run enough missions to keep my account active through buying PLEX and use the rest of my time to do more important things IRL. |

Look man. I didn't blow up your ship. I'm sorry someone did to make you upset...but it wasn't ME.
You need to do what I did and adapt. Harden up man.

Um...I have max number of JC up due to my high corporations standings. No missioning corp needed for that.
On a related note, I was scanning the recruit channel and forums. It seems the "get missionariz to pimp up the corp wallet" scheme is still alive and well.
