Why is there only two levels of API verification?
I do not mind showing any new corp I join who my alts are but it gets a bit lame when the limited api gives them my wealth/sp status.
Every man and his dog wants to know your api these days for the interest of spying. what I have in my wallet has nothing to do with that and neither does my skill points.
Now we even have api verification for TS3 and it's really getting lame.
A dedicated spy will have a clean account anyway so pls why all this bs?
Give us another level of api verification please CCP.

How would you separate out the levels?
Level 1: Gives just character name, corp, alliance?
and then Limited and Full?
Why does it really bother you that people can see how much ISK you have and your SP. If people I ask I tell them that information at will. The limited API provides almost no information that can be used to your detriment (maybe skill distribution can...maybe). That is why there is only Limited and Full API.
Use of an API does not really prevent spying as reasons you have said. It deters the stupid and the random people from accessing your forums or TS3.
I just don't see why they need to change the API in this way so you can hide how much ISK you actually have..... ------ Support Manalapan for CSM!

I think that the user should have more power over the API and exactly what information is displayed to wherever the API is given. The frequency of API requests for sake of security demand another level that allows a player clearance to a corp but provides the account holder better options.
The fact that some do not care about displaying sp and wallet is not really a choice at all.
Most reasons for your API being requested by a corp is to see who your alts are and that is it, well if that is all they want then please make it so.

Edited by: Josef Huffenpuff on 10/03/2011 07:33:53 Maybe you should, I dunno, read the dev blogs ?
edit: and actually, what you have in your wallet and who you gave it to or got it from has EVERYTHING to do with counter espionage.
