I see that the Giant Secure container can only be anchored in 0.7 systems and below. Is there anything that can be used in higher security systems that doesn't vanish after a few hours? I was looking to put up something to re-supply mission ships and act as a storage area for loot/salvage. Would be handy but my agent is in a 0.9 system.

Edited by: Raid''En on 11/03/2011 00:49:46 dropping a can unanchored on a safe spot may work. no one can probe the can if on a safe, and it won't be deleted before a good moment people do that on wh pos, you can(t anchor them on forcefield, but unanchored they still stay for months, dunno if rules would be different here, but i think it would at least stay a few days ---------------- ** Wormhole Trading ** |

GSCs cannot be probed down.
1. make a safe spot, preferably off dscan from celestials 2. drop a GSC 3. throw your crap in there. 4. send me isk for being awesome 5. touch my monkey ♥

CCP removes unanchored stuff floating in space regularly (every 30 days I believe). Stuff floating near a POS is not deleted.

unanchored GSCs despawn just like jetcans. If you're going to use one at a safespot you'd might as well jetcan. GSCs can't be anchored within 2500m of any other object (and since a POS shield is very big it can't be anchored inside a POS) but don't despawn when launched near a POS so it's like getting a free anchoring. Anchored GSCs despawn after 30 days inactivity.
My original statement is still true. The only thing you can use in a 0.9 system that does not despawn after 2 hours is docking up in the station. You've gotta dock up anyway to get the missions, so might as well. You could leave an orca floating in space, but that's a stupid idea as it probably won't last the 2 hours a jetcan will.

Technically, jetcans last for one hour before becoming volatile, and then they could disappear at any time for up to an additional hour.
Giant secure containers which have not been anchored will disappear during downtime, so at 11:00 every day.
