I figured there were some old wow players in EVE that would be moving over to this new 'wow replacement'. From the looks of it, it could be the best chance yet to topple 'the king'. I despise wow, so I'm always eager to see its demise... 
I'll be trying RIFT soon; should've bought it at the store instead of waiting on Amazon.com...  |

Don't bother, it appears to be EQ2 v2. The producer is the ex-producer for EverQuest II (Scott Hartsman). I like him (he gave me 2 lifetime free SOE station pass accounts), but he pretty much made it EverQuest 3, and EQ2 is so much of a grind, this won't be any different.

Already discussed Rift here in OOP. Already decided it was a WoW clone and pretty much sucked.

I'll throw my 2isk in, and say that I enjoyed my time in the beta, much more than I did in WoW low-level zones. However, when I stated that opinion the the rift beta thread, I people immediately started again with the WoW clone yelling. It's not always a bad thing, IMO. Competition forces both companies to be innovative, and bring new ideas.

I tried it, and I doubt it will have any impact on WoW. Pretty much like all the other WoW killers before it.
The only thing in the forseeable future that can kill WoW is WoW itself....and lately, I feel like that's what they're working towards. So there is hope for you, OP.

it looked good but I really cba to pay $60 and then a monthly sub, if they had a two week trial I would probably be playing that right now though.
